The support formed part of the assembly’s broader commitment to promoting inclusion, equity, and social protection within the district. At a short presentation ceremony, a total amount of GH¢16,075 was disbursed to the beneficiaries, with individuals receiving cash ranging from GH¢1,000 to GH¢3,500, depending on the nature of assistance required. The Offinso North District Officer of Social Welfare, Osei Poku Gideon, reaffirmed the assembly’s commitment to empowering vulnerable groups and ensuring that one was left behind in the development process. The DCE noted that investing in PWDs was not an act of charity but rather of social justice and equal opportunity.
