The minister said that he is surprised that the said officer has been sanctioned by the management of the Ghana Airport Company Limited (GACL), thefourthestategh.com reports. He added that he had even discussed the incident with the GACL and told them that there is no bone of contention. GhanaWeb earlier reported that the security officer of the GACL stationed at the Kumasi Airport was interdicted for ostensibly embarrassing the Minister for National Security. A little over two hours after GhanaWeb reported that a security officer of the Ghana Airports Company Limited stationed at the Kumasi Airport had been interdicted for what has been termed ‘embarrassing’ the Minister for National Security, Albert Kan-Dapaah, the management of the GACL has beaten a retreat.

2 dead, 5 injured after trailer loaded with excavator crashes into stores

According to onuaonline.com, the trailer, which had the registration number GE 4871-X, crashed into at least five shops as the driver lost control of it. He added that the injured persons are receiving treatment at the Sefwi Wiawso Government Hospital while the bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue waiting for identification and autopsy. Five persons were trapped inside and we rescued them but two died on the spot and I can’t tell for now the condition of the others,” he said. Cut Off Common Funds To MMDAs Where Galamsey Is Thriving - Majority Leader To Govt
The Majority Leader in Parliament, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, has charged the government to cut off budgetary allocation to Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies where galamsey is thriving. According to the Suame legislator, this punitive measure is the surest way in the fight against illegal mining. He further argued that some chiefs benefit from the proceeds of the galamsey, that is the reason they've looked on for such activities to thrive. "Government has not been successful in its fight against galamsey. Angry Taxi Driver Goes Naked, Invokes Curses Over Blocked SIM Card
There is growing public frustration over the impact of the punitive measures being implemented in line with the ongoing SIM re-registration exercise. In a video sighted by GhanaWeb, an aggrieved customer whose line was blocked is seen invoking curses in the middle of a highway. The furious customer is seen fully naked in the video which has since gone viral on social media, wielding a bottle of gin with which he recited incantations to invoke curses over his blocked SIM card. An angry customer is seen in the video engaging in a heated confrontation with security officials at the office. In the case of Vodafone customers, there were no incidents of registered users suffering the punitive measures.
