In a video making rounds on social media, Kpebu averred that Akufo-Addo failed to deliver on key promises, particularly in the fight against corruption and constitutional reforms. On corruption, Kpebu argued that Akufo-Addo’s record was worse than his predecessor, John Dramani Mahama. Look, when he took constitutional review for eight years, he didn't allow us to do constitutional review that would enable us to elect MMDCs, to make them more accountable. Martin Kpebu further described Akufo-Addo as the “mother serpent of corruption”, stressing that leaders cannot deceive citizens with promises of reform only to deliver the opposite.
