The North Africans battled hard in the game but failed to seriously test Stanley Nwabali. Egypt were, however, resolute at the back, stifling the Super Eagles’ attack for the majority of the game. “I am very satisfied with my team’s performance and proud of their commitment and the spirit they displayed till the end. Sometimes they go in your favour, and sometimes they don’t, and you have to accept that and keep working,” Hassan said after the game.
