Kofi Adomah Nwanwanii attacked by alleged assassins
Kofi Adomah Nwanwanii, the host of Angel FM’s morning show, has been attacked by some unknown men on Saturday, August 6,2022. Sources say that the broadcaster was returning from DAMAX Estate, Kuntunse, a suburb of Accra when he was crossed by these alleged assassins who were riding a motorbike and attacked him around Old Ashongman. The unknown men used a sharp object to injure the journalist and later tried to set him ablaze. “Kofi Adomah visited his House at DAMAX estate at Kuntunse, on his way back he was attacked around old Ashongman. Kofi Adomah Nwanwanii is currently on admission at the hospital.

S&P downgrades Ghana's credit rating from B- to CCC+ - Report

According to a report by marketwatch.com, S&P said its outlook for the country remains negative, "reflecting Ghana's limited commercial financing options, and constrained external and fiscal buffers." "While these changes could improve the tax take going forward, the situation remains challenging, and over the first half of 2022, the fiscal deficit has exceeded the government's ambitious target," S&P Global Ratings stated. S&P Global Ratings had affirmed Ghana's ratings in February, as Moody's downgraded the country to Caa1 with a stable outlook. Of the total debt stock, domestic debt was GH¢190.1 billion (37.8 percent of GDP), while the external debt was GH¢203.4 billion (40.5 percent of GDP).

Ghana’s Police Administration Steps Up Efforts to Eliminate ‘Miscreants’ in the Service
The Police Administration in Ghana has begun a process of weeding out all miscreants in the service to restore its image and reputation. It has also cautioned recently recruited new officers to let their character, attitude and behavior reflect the principles of the police administration. The newly-recruited police officers, who underwent six months of comprehensive training in all aspects of police training to make them competitive to face the challenges of modern policing, served as the first batch of trainees in 2022. They join the service at a crucial moment as the administration initiates reforms to address numerous challenges including emerging crimes such as terrorism in the sub-region and changes in their modes of operation. Group Sergeant Boakye Tieku Aduenin emerged overall best under Cadet Officer in the school and placed 9th in the National Standardized Examination, while Group Recruit Daniel Anim Oduro placed first and adjudged 4th in the National Standardized Examination among all the five training schools in Ghana.

Headmaster, administrator busted for promoting exams malpractices

It added that the two schools, All For Christ Senior High/Technical School and Duadaso Number 1 Senior High/Technical School, were discovered to have been at the center of a syndicate that was promoting exams malpractices among their students. “Corruption Watch discovered syndicated schemes for cheating before and during the WASSCE at All For Christ Senior High/Technical School and Duadaso Number 1 Senior High/Technical School. “All For Christ Senior High/Technical School is a popular private second cycle institution located at Kato, a suburb of Berekum, whereas Duadaso Number 1 Senior High/Technical School is a state-funded institution located at Duadaso Number 1, a cashew-growing community near Sampa,” it added.

Waakye was only treated on a stretcher - Maame Dokono narrates last moments of popular actor
