An office order of DMP signed by its Commissioner Habibur Rahman has been issued today. Wymore Fire and Rescue, along with firefighters from three other agencies, responded to a fire Wednesday morning that killed two cats and severely damaged a home. Wymore firefighter Rylee Meints said the call came in at 6:05 a.m. for the fire at 214 N. Eighth St., and the firefighters needed about two hours to knock down the blaze completely. The last Wymore units left the scene shortly before 11:30. Homeowner Angie Woodyard was at a friend's house when the fire occurred. Woodyard said the house, which county records show was built in 1915, is a total loss.
