The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has ordered three policemen to be jailed in connection with charges of crimes against humanity committed during the July-August uprising. The three policemen are Assistant Commissioner Tanjil Ahmed, Constable Hossain Ali and Constable Akram Hossain. As many as 12 workers have been injured in a boiler explosion at a garment factory in the Jainabazar area of Sreepur in Gazipur. The incident took place at the HDF Apparels Limited factory around 9am on Monday, according to MR Shipu Chowdhury, the factory’s administrative manager.
