In a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan expressed strong disapproval of Singh's fiery statements made earlier today in the Drass area of Ladakh. Pakistan urged India to refrain from dragging Pakistan into its populist public discourse, which aims to stoke hyper-nationalism for electoral gains. The Foreign Office asserted that India's claims about IIOJK were not supported by historical facts, international law, or the situation on the ground.

That dot is the place of our happiness and sadness and where the sublime religions were revealed. They had made others’ lives miserable, as the existence of common people meant nothing to them. But in contrast to that inhuman manifestation of power, ours is a time of instantaneous dissemination of information, making people aware of happenings across the globe.

Asif’s sexist vitriol against PTI women draws ire
A sexist remark by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif about his women counterparts from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) soured a joint session of parliament on Tuesday after the PML-N leader received vehement backlash. At this point, the PTI women parliamentarians rose from their seats and demanded that the minister take his words back. However, unconcerned by the growing protests, the defence minister continued, saying, “He (Imran) doesn’t have the courage to appear in courts today … And they defend him. He also called out the defence minister for repeatedly being offensive towards women. “Filth from Khawaja Asif is nothing surprising; all he is capable of doing is spewing dirt on women,” journalist Mehr Tarar wrote on Twitter.

Pakistan Trade Facilitation Portal launched
KARACHI-The Pakistan Trade Facilitation Portal (PTFP) was launched Tuesday at a local hotel here. It was developed by the International Trade Centre (ITC) in collaboration with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) of the United Kingdom. It is a valuable resource for anyone involved in international trade in Pakistan. The launch ceremony was attended by Dr Jawwad Uwais Agha, National Project Coordinator & Senior Technical Advisor, ReMIT/ITC Program; Dr Mohammad Saeed, Chief, ITC Geneva. Dr Agha said that the PTFP is a “significant milestone” in the government’s efforts to facilitate trade in Pakistan.

Police conduct search operation in Dheri Hassanabad
RAWALPINDI - The police on special directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani launched a search operation in Dheri Hassanabad and adjoining areas in the jurisdiction of Civil Line police station, said a police spokesman. He informed that heavy police contingent, Elite Force, Special Branch personnel and ladies’ police along with officials of Civil Line police conducted search operations in and around Dheri Hassanabad. During the search operation, a total of 96 houses were searched, data of 29 tenants collected, 04 shops and a total of 246 suspects were questioned. The spokesman said search operations to net criminals and proclaimed offenders were regularly being conducted under National Action Plan in different areas of the district particularly to ensure law and order.

GENEVA: FIFA won the latest ruling Monday of an international, multi-case fight by soccer player agents to block rules that would regulate their industry and cap their fees. FIFA also wants to prohibit player agents from representing both the buying and selling clubs in a transfer. PROFAA said it was “extremely disappointed” by the CAS ruling and the effect it would have on thousands of agents’ livelihood. That FIFA group does not include some of the industry’s highest profile agencies which have said over several years they were not properly consulted about shaping the rules. The court also agreed the FIFA rules are not incompatible with laws in France and Italy and nor do they contravene the Major League Soccer collective bargaining agreement.
