An investigation has been launched into allegations of misconduct against several personnel of the Ghulam Mohammadabad Police Station. He alleged that Zeeshan and Hasnain Ali had been present at a paan shop when policemen Nasir Dhillon, Zeeshan Gul Masih and Shehzad Jat entered the shop. Five days ago personnel from the Dhanot Police Station had arrested Adil in an alleged case of theft. They alleged that Adil had committed suicide by hanging himself with the drawstring of his Shalwar. The DPO of Lodhran alleged that the suspect committed suicide since he (Adil) had been suffering from depression.

Rawalpindi-A 14-year-old died while seven others of the family got injured when gas cylinder exploded in a house located in People’s Colony area here Sunday. According to the rescue spokesperson, there was a gas leak from the cylinder in the house, as soon as the fire was lit to light a cigarette, the gas cylinder exploded, causing portion of house to fall to the ground. As soon as the incident was reported, the rescue teams started rescue operations and shifted the injured namely Fouzia, 38, Zubair, 19, Faisal Gulzar, 19, Malaika, 24, Muskan Imran, 14, Maroosh, 05, Imran, 35 to the hospital. Later, a 14-year-old child Sahil who was injured in the incident breathed his last in the hospital, while the condition of another person is also stated to be critical. It is noted here that yesterday there was an explosion in a house due to gas leakage in Shamshabad area of Rawalpindi in which three young siblings were killed and a mother and a daughter were injured in the incident.

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Ameer Engineer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rahman accused Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) of misleading the nation. "The ceremony for the K-4 water supply project has been held for the fourth time to misguide the masses," Naeem said. Speaking at the press conference at the JI Karachi headquarters, he elaborated that prime minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced to complete the project in two years with a cost of Rs126 billion. The JI leader mentioned that the capacity of the first phase of the K4 water supply project has been kept at 260 million gallons of water.
