Stop Co-Governance director Julian Batchelor. The group’s meeting in St Kilda, Dunedin, on Saturday, was cut short after venue providers Scouts NZ intervened, saying they had been misled about the nature of the meeting. Before last night’s meeting, Mr Barrett said such cancellations were misguided, and were hampering the group’s right to free speech. Stop Co-Governance has courted controversy due to what some claim are "racist" views that "frame Māori culture as an enemy of the public". Group founder and director Julian Batchelor claims on his website that co-governance is "undemocratic" and promotes "apartheid and racism".

A section of the main road from Fernhill to Queenstown has subsided after a "significant" burst water main caused havoc yesterday afternoon. On Fernhill Rd, the water appeared to be flowing underneath the asphalt, causing the foundations of the road to subside outside the Heritage. If they hadn’t stopped it when they did, my assumption is it would have been a lot worse in terms of property damage." Part of Queenstown’s Fernhill Rd subsided yesterday afternoon after a rising water main broke. Orbus was not able to travel up or down Fernhill Rd; instead, buses were travelling along the Glenorchy Rd, to Sunshine Bay and Fernhill.

Taken at Mt Cook National Park at Aoraki on the South IslandAdvertisementNew Zealand is famed for its breathtaking scenery - and a recent promotional video ahead of the Women's World Cup hasn't disappointed. Girls from Timaru's West End AFC, Twizel Area School and Arowhenua School took part in the match of a lifetime, which was refereed by New Zealand Football national referee development manager Lindsey Robinson. Tourism New Zealand chief executive René de Monchy said the FIFA Women's World Cup was a 'significant opportunity' to promote Aotearoa as a destination to an international audience. Star New Zealand midfielder Emma Rolston made her way to Mt Cook National Park to see the girls in action - and labelled it 'the most beautiful place on Earth.' 'We are going to be the best host country for the World Cup because we have so much to offer,' she said.

After their relationship ended, they turned to the Family Court to determine how the property, which was jointly owned, should be divided. The Family Court said it did not have jurisdiction, as did the High Court. That means the case will be sent back to the Family Court. In November 2017, Lilach Paul separated from her husband and Mead, and the following year Brett Paul and Mead separated. Justice France and Justice Glazebrook, however, considered the High Court was correct that the Family Court had no jurisdiction.

PHOTO: NZ HERALDPolitical power is often temporary and illusory. It is apparent the pharaoh had exercised huge power and authority in his lifetime, but what Shelley viewed was but a shadow of that former glory. The poem ends:"And on the pedestal these words appear:My name is Ozymandius, king of kings:Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair! Unlike Ozymandius, they were not motivated by power or vanity. Temporary though political power is, if properly applied, all the citizens of the nation should be able to flourish.

The motel owner said he had made his decision after contacting police to clarify the situation. However, a police media spokesman said police had not provided any advice to the motel owner, and it was up to individual businesses to "decide who their customers [were]". Contacted by the ODT about the planned meetings yesterday afternoon, Balclutha Pipe Band president Grant Marshall expressed surprise and dismay. Senior Sergeant Chris Wakelin, of Balclutha police, said there was nothing illegal about the meetings planned in the town for tonight and tomorrow. "We will support all members of the public being safe for any public meeting."

Auckland surgeons must now consider ethnicity in prioritising patients for operations – some are not happyAuckland surgeons are now being required to consider a patient’s ethnicity alongside other factors when deciding who should get an operation first. We don’t just need more drs and nurses, we need new hospitals, we need new technology, we need new drugs, we need our own basic pharmaceutical industry. What this inclusion of ethnicity as a determinant truly represents is an under-funded public health system forced into making this brutal equation because of grotesque and systemic underfunding. This is a symptom of an underfunded health system using blunt tools like ethnicity to attempt more equitable outcomes. It is an ugly treatment to a much more malicious disease, which is the underfunding of the public health system by starving the State of tax revenue from the wealthiest amongst us.

Imagine waking up in the morning and seeing thousands of dollars debited from your account mysteriously. Well, something similar happened to credit card users across New Zealand recently that too at a time when the country has fallen into recession. It turns out that a third-party provider experienced a technical error which caused duplicate payments to be made among New Zealand Bank (BNZ) customers who used their cards to pay for goods and services between 10pm and 10.30pm. They said: "BNZ is supporting our customers who have been impacted by a technical issue caused by an external credit card service provider. "Approximately 500 Kiwibank customers may have experienced issues using their credit cards this morning due to a vendor technical issue," they said.

All of these carbuncles gleaned from Zillow listings, social media posts, or their local neighbourhood, and uploaded to be subjected to public criticism. Image: Facebook page That's It I'm Architecture ShamingThere is visible delight users take in poking fun at wealthy homeowner’s lack of taste, at the sheer amount of effort gone into building something so thoroughly ugly.
