Riders can sit on top of the construction beam, which will then be lifted 12 feet above the deck and turned 180 degrees, allowing them to see Central Park. Beam attraction inspired by iconic photo taken 91 years agoThe attraction was inspired by a photo taken by an unknown photographer in 1932. In the photo, 11 construction workers have lunch as they sit on a steel beam suspended 850 feet in the air. The search to verify this information was included in the 2012 documentary “Men at Lunch,” directed by Seán Ó Cualáin. Possible identification for two construction workers in iconic photoThe documentary filmmakers have also set their sights on two construction workers in the photo thanks to a chance encounter at an Irish pub in 2010.

Concerns have been raised about ongoing safety on a stretch of the N61 between Tulsk and Clashaganny, which had been approved for a safety improvement scheme, but has been stalled due to a High Court judicial review. Independent councillor Tony Ward raised the concerns after a recent accident where a wall along this route was hit by a large vehicle, spreading debris on the road. “The debris on the road could have led to further accidents and I am very concerned about the ongoing safety risks to drivers on this road,” said Cllr Waldron. The proposed N61 Tulsk to Clashaganny Road road scheme, involving the upgrade of a seriously deficient section of the national road network, was approved by councillors in February. The works were aimed at enhancing the safety of road users and improving local and regional connectivity.

Approximately 7.9 million UK homes are currently under-insulated, but 70 per cent of these could easily be improved with standard loft insulation, it says. Once installed, loft insulation should pay for itself several times over during its 40-year lifetime. If a home has no loft insulation, then installing 270mm of new insulation could save £250 a year on your energy bills. You can buy a 100mm roll of loft insulation for about £23, and 170mm rolls from Wickes or B&Q cost from £24. Bean-Gordon advises me to apply the insulation tape as tightly as possible into the frames.

The DUP is refusing to re-enter a devolved government in Northern Ireland until unionist concerns are addressed. On Tuesday, Northern Ireland Secretary Chris Heaton-Harris indicated the talks with Sir Jeffrey Donaldson’s party were in their “final, final stages”. “Government satisfaction with the limited progress the Windsor Framework has made should not act as a block to seeking further progress to fully deliver our 2019 manifesto commitment and the promises made to Northern Ireland,” Dame Priti said. “No business should face a barrier or restriction to trade between Great Britain and Northern Ireland and more work is needed to achieve this outcome. “Technology, common sense and a dose of good faith should be at the forefront of the solutions needed to remove these barriers and put an end to the tentacles of EU control over Northern Ireland.
