As per the cause-list, the special leave petition (SLP) filed by the Goa government challenging the Inter-State Mhadei River Disputes Tribunal’s verdict, was listed for hearing for two days i.e. The matter is now likely to be heard next week. According to information available, no matter was taken up by the court due to a scheduled programme and it was informed that the remaining cause-list would be taken up on Wednesday, December 6. During the previous hearing held on July 10 this year, the Supreme Court had admitted the Goa government’s SLP challenging the verdict of the Inter-State Mhadei Disputes Tribunal granting Karnataka 13.42 tmc (thousand million cubic feet) of water for its Kalasa-Bhandura drinking water-cum-irrigation project.
