Mercedes Benz-AMG SL 63 S E PERFORMANCE has its engine at the front and the electric motor at the rear. This is the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 S E PERFORMANCE – the most powerful SL of all time. Its four-litre V8 biturbo engine is at the front and the electric motor at the rear. That means the engine and AMG Electric Drive Unit generate a combined system output of 816hp and maximum torque (pulling power) of up to 1,420Nm, making it the most powerful SL to date. And because the electric motor acts directly on the rear axle it can convert its power more directly into thrust.

It is a week packed with central bank meetings with the US Fed, the European Central Bank and the Bank of England all due to meet. Part of this is to avoid longer-term market interest rates dropping further, effectively loosening monetary conditions. Everyone knows that the odds are firmly stacked in favour of interest rates ending next year lower than they will start it. Strong US jobs figures last Friday will give US Fed chair Jay Powell the cover to kick to touch on interest rate trends. But with headline inflation falling and economic conditions weak, financial markets still expect interest rates to start falling by the summer at the latest.

SSE Airtricity is to reduce its electricity prices by 12.8pc and its gas tariffs by 11.5pc. It follows a 12pc cut in electricity prices from the same supplier that took effect on November 1. The latest price cut comes just as householders get the first of three electricity credits from the Government. However, energy prices this winter will still remain at historically high levels.

Brian MelleyThe Associated PressLONDON — A judge ordered Prince Harry on Monday to pay more than $60,000 in legal fees to the publisher of the Daily Mail tabloid for his failed court challenge in a libel lawsuit. Nicklin said a libel trial lasting three to four days will be scheduled between May 17 and July 31. The $60,927 in legal fees Harry was ordered to pay by Dec. 29 is likely to be dwarfed by the amount paid to lawyers in another lawsuit the duke has brought against the publisher. The Mail publisher failed last month in its bid to throw out that lawsuit, though it prevailed in getting some evidence barred from trial. Nicklin — who is also hearing that case — is considering what to award in lawyer’s costs for each party’s respective wins.
