Avolon, whose chief executive is Andy Cronin, said it has ordered 100 Airbus A321neos and 40 Boeing 737 Max jets. It brings to 200 the total number of jets ordered by Avolon from the two aircraft makers this year. Big aircraft orders generally attract discounts to the list price. In September, Avolon ordered 20 A330neos from Airbus, and in June it ordered 30 Max jets from Boeing. The latest purchase deal has to be approved by Bohai Leasing, which owns 70pc of Avolon.
