I'm a fan of the advanced mark
No matter how well a team perform in a league game, the talk afterwards is always with a view to how they will fare come championship. I have to say, and it feels like I’m in the minority on this, but I’m a fan of the advanced mark. Because of the advanced mark, defenders now have to stay tighter to forwards as they run out from goal looking to receive a pass. Now they are more enticed to compete full-blooded for the ball to deny a mark. Either way, I believe the advanced mark leads to more goal opportunities.

The incident resulted in the Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit being called in to the residential area of the town. A statement issued by the Garda press office this evening said a report of a suspicious device in the Castleview Park area was received at approximately midday today. "The suspicious device has been removed from the scene by the Army EOD and the cordon has been lifted. "Investigations are ongoing," the Garda statement concluded.

Alan O’Reilly of Carlow Weather said the chances of seeing the Northern lights again on Saturday were high however fog “could cause issues for some”. ITV is pinning its hopes on an advertising boom in the Euro 2024 football championships as it continues to reel from last year’s Hollywood strikes. Revenues at ITV studios fell 16 per cent to £382million. The company behind I’m A Celebrity and Love Island is now pinning its hopes on the Euro 2024 tournament, which starts next month. ITV expects that its advertising revenues will jump about 12 per cent in the current quarter. In March, ITV sold its 50 per cent stake in BritBox, a subscription streaming service, to BBC Studios for £255million.
