Bomb squad called in after 'suspicious device' is found in EdenderryGardai have confirmed they're investigating the discovery of a suspicious device in the Castleview Park area of Edenderry earlier today (Friday). The incident resulted in the Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit being called in to the residential area of the town. A statement issued by the Garda press office this evening said a report of a suspicious device in the Castleview Park area was received at approximately midday today. "The suspicious device has been removed from the scene by the Army EOD and the cordon has been lifted. "Investigations are ongoing," the Garda statement concluded.
