नईदुनिया प्रतिनिधि। ग्वालियर में पटेल मैरिज हॉल के सामने बस में एक युवक ने फांसी लगा कर आत्महत्या कर ली। घटना के बाद स्वजनों का आरोप है कि युवक ने फांसी नहीं लगाई है, बल्कि उसकी हत्या की गई है। हालांकि पुलिस मौके पर पहुंच गई है और मामले की जांच कर रही है।घटनाक्रम के मुताबिक पटेल बड़ागांव के पास पटेल मैरिज हाल के सामने करीब एक महीने से एक खराब बस खड़ी है। इसी बस में बड़ा गांव निवासी निख्लि यादव घर से गायब था। जब घर के लेाग उसे तलाश रहे थे तो बस में उसका शव लटकता हुआ दिखाई दिया। प्रथम द्ष्टया लगता है कि उसने आत्महत्या की है। लेकिन मृतक के पिता का आरोप है कि निखिल को शराब पिलाकर मारा गया है और आत्महत्या दिखाने के लिए बस में लटकाया गया है। हालांकि पुलिस सभी एंगलों से मामले की जांच कर रही है।

Crude oil up on Libya, Red Sea developments
Crude oil futures traded higher on Thursday morning as fears over supply disruptions increased following protests in Libya. At 9.53 am on Thursday, March Brent oil futures were at $78.59, up by 0.43 per cent; and February crude oil futures on WTI (West Texas Intermediate) were at $73.16, up by 0.63 per cent. Market reports said the oilfield produces around 300,000 barrels a day of crude oil. Following this development, crude oil futures gained around 3 per cent on Wednesday. Meanwhile, data from the industry body American Petroleum Institute (API) showed a decline in crude oil inventories in the US.

Sri Lanka to deploy naval vessel in Red Sea to fight Houthi attacks: President Wickremesinghe - Telegraph India
President Ranil Wickremesinghe has announced that Sri Lanka will provide a Navy vessel to fight attacks by Houthi rebels on merchant ships in the Red Sea, joining countries like India in protecting the key waterway for global trade. The Iran-backed Houthi rebels have launched more than 20 attacks on merchant ships in recent weeks, claiming to take revenge against Israel for its military campaign against Palestinian terror group Hamas in Gaza. "So we have agreed to send a Naval vessel to combat Houthi attacks in the Red Sea,” he said. Last month, an Indian-flagged crude oil tanker was among two vessels that came under drone attacks by the Houthi rebels in the Southern Red Sea, according to the US Central Command. The US Central Command said in a statement that on December 23, two Houthi anti-ship ballistic missiles were fired into international shipping lanes in the Southern Red Sea from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen.

Power loom weavers in Tamil Nadu demand payment of GST refunds to tide over financial crisis
More than 100 power loom weavers in Tamil Nadu, mainly in Erode and nearby areas, have demanded payment of GST refunds for the tax paid for nearly 13 months in 2017-2018. He explained that when GST was introduced in July 1, 2017, manmade fibre (MMF) and MMF yarn attracted 18 % duty and MMF fabric was levied 5 % duty. The weavers had paid the GST assuming that they would get refund of the duty paid (inverted duty structure). If the government refunds the tax paid during the 13 months in 2017-2018, the weavers will get relief. Across the country, the government may have to pay ₹ 1,000 crores as refund to the MMF sector weavers, he said.
