A tweet posted on Saturday August 7, 2021 read; "The government of Ghana today received over 177,600 the single-shot Johnson and Johnson vaccines procured under the African Vaccine Acquisition Trust (AVAT) initiative." According to the Ghana Health Service, only a little over a million citizens out of a 30 million population have been vaccinated.

According to him, contractors of the controversial affordable housing project, diverted close to US$40 million prior to commencement of the project under the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama government. “The Ghana government paid US$80 million [as a first tranche to the contractor], as required by the agreement. “So, US$40 million from the US$80 million was not used to do anything in this country, straight away moved out. “If 50% of that US$80 million was flighted out of the country, obviously it will affect the work, so that one, US$40 million… went somewhere. The Asutifi South MP is accused of making changes to the initial agreement for the housing project without seeking Parliamentary approval.

“We will be behaving irrationally if we don’t support GNPC to increase its stake now. It is just lack of information,” Dr Manteaw is quoted by myjoyonline to have said this on NewsFile. Dr. Manteaw further lauded the GNPC for its transparency on plans to make the move and thanked them for engaging in stakeholder consultations before seeking approval from parliament. Meanwhile, a petroleum expert, Dr Theo Acheampong, has also commended the GNPC's intention to purchase the two offshore stakes. Dr Acheampong believes the move has enough justification to proceed as it will ensure GNPC gains control of oil exploration projects.

The players were returning to Old Subri on Thursday evening after they lost 2-0 to Tarkwa United in the second division league at the Akon Park in Tarkwa. Severely injured victims have been admitted to the Tarkwa Municipal Hospitalwhile those with minor injuries are receiving treatment at the Huni Valley Health Centre. He explained that the taxi which was behind him, got closer so he decided to allow the taxi driver to overtake him but the taxi driver hit the sprinter from behind, unfortunately, thereby pushing it off the road. The Sprinter driver said the car summersaulted several times before landingin a valley.
