Cladded in red armbands, with others tied on their heads to register displeasure, the angry residents disclosed to GhanaWeb that they were tired of deception and incompetence on the part of the NPP government. The angry residents who held different placards had inscriptions such as "We need roads, We need jobs", "Shame disappointing man", We are tired of NPP", Kenyasi Adwumam deserves better", etc. It took the intervention of fire service personnel to douse fires that had been set by the angry residents in the middle of the roads at different joints. Car tires that were used to set fire could be seen blazing fiercely as the angry residents kept chanting different songs, depicting their anger and seriousness. They finally warned the NPP government to immediately come to fix the road, else they were going to make frequent demonstrations until their needs are met.

In the statement dated August 11, 2021, the GSS disclosed that more than three-quarters of the rate of inflation recorded in July 2021 was contributed by food, housing, and transport. “The year-on-year inflation rate as measured by the Combined Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 9.0 percent in July 2021. This rate of inflation for July 2021 is the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) over the twelve-month period, from July 2020 to July 2021. The monthly change rate for July 2021 is 1.63 percent,” parts of the statement explained. Meanwhile, despite an acceleration in figures, inflation remains below reach of the Bank of Ghana's target set for April 2021.

The Commercial Division of the Accra High Court has asked the hospital to pay GH¢326,456 in damages to the family of Kofi Duffour and Joyce Akyaah Barnes, parents of the baby. According to the report, this amount includes general damages of GH¢200,000 and costs of GH¢20,000 against the hospital and its owner, Dr. Amoo Mensah. It continued that the court had ruled that the hospital negligently failed to live up to professional medical standards in providing antenatal care for the baby’s mother. Details of the case are that in March 2017, the parents of the baby sought antenatal care from the Sam-J Specialist Hospital. She concluded that they were liable for leaving the child handicapped for life and thereby slapped with the damage cost of GH¢326,456.

His grandmother did not see him again until she received a distress call that her grandson had committed suicide. She met the lifeless body of her grandson hanging on a ceiling fan with a mosquito net being used to tie his neck. Two persons have however been arrested by the Asokwa district police in connection with the death of the 11-year-old boy. The two, who are all sons of the late Boateng's grandmother have since been detained by the Asokwa police to help in the investigation. Meanwhile, the police command have conveyed the 11-year-old boy's body to a hospital morgue for an autopsy and a further investigation.
