Bawumia Takes Up ‘Full Cost’ Of New NPP Membership Cards Nationwide
The National Executive Council of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has directed its regional and constituency branches to end the collection of payments and other administration charges for membership card issuances. The directives follow a pledge made by Vice president Dr. Bawumia to bear the full cost of the membership cards at all levels. It was contained in a statement signed by the General Secretary of the party Justin Kodua. “Following the visit of His Excellency, the Vice President pledged to lead the fundraising efforts to provide and pay for the full cost of membership cards for all Polling Station Executives, Electoral Area Coordinators, Constituency Executives, Regional Executives, Council of elders and Patrons. “On this note, you are, therefore, directed to stop collecting payments and other administrative charges for the issuance of the membership cards from the aforementioned,” the statement added.

Adwoa Safo's Return: We Are Unbothered – Constituents
Residents of the Dome-Kwabenya constituency feel indifferent about their member of parliament, Adwoa Safo, following her return to parliament. According to some residents, after abandoning the constituency for about a year, Adwoa Safo's return does not mean anything to them. Speaking to www.ghanaweb.com, the residents seemed to have regretted voting for the MP while accusing her of being irresponsible. One resident said “both Adwoa Safo and other government officials are not acting responsibly; because if this country was their sole property, will they leave the country and return as they please? NDC Lost 6% Volta Votes In 2020; Likely To Lose More In 2024 – Ben Ephson Explains
Pollster Ben Ephson, has predicted that developments in the Volta Region will negatively impact the National Democratic Congress’ 2024 election outcomes, if not checked. However, according to Mr Ephson, it lost votes in the area by 6.6% in the 2020 elections. Somebody called to enquire about ‘appearance fee’ to see Bawumia – Dr. Gideon Boako

Haruna Iddrisu, Muntaka, Ato Forson To Testify Against Ofori-Atta Before Censure Committee
Three minority MPs including the minority leader Haruna Iddrisu, Minority Chief Whip Muntaka Mubarak and the Ranking member on the finance committee Dr. Casiel Ato Forson are expected to appear before the ad-hoc committee set to probe the Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta in the vote of censure motion. Co-chair of the committee KT Hammond in an interview hinted that the hearing of the committee will be made public to the media. A member of the committee also disclosed that the three minority MPs will appear before the committee with their testimony when they are called upon. The formation of the Ad-hoc committee is to give the Finance Minister, an opportunity to respond to the allegations levelled against him in a vote of censure motion. This was after the Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu earlier moved the motion on a vote of censure against the Minister.

Government Sells Saglemi Housing Project To Private Developer
Minister for Works and Housing, Francis Asenso-Boakye, has disclosed that a private sector developer has assumed control over government's Saglemi housing project. According to him, the developer will be in charge of selling the housing units when completed. "We’re allowing for a private sector developer to take up the initiative to build and sell the housing units,” he stated. The Housing Minister noted that a committee will be commissioned to guide the process and ensure transparency in the bidding process. The Saglemi housing project which commenced in 2012 under the NDC government aimed at building 5000 housing units.

AICC makes U-Turn, Anas’ Galamsey exposé to show at venue

The investigation, titled “Galamsey Economy”, aims to unravel some happenings regarding the fight against Galamsey in Ghana. In an earlier release sighted by GhanaWeb, the management of AICC informed Tiger Eye through its agent on Saturday, November 13, 2022, that the venue was no longer available for use on the said dates. However, in a news release signed by the Director/ Accra International Conference Centre, Vivian K.A Asempapa, the issue has been resolved, and a final go-ahead has been given to Tiger Eye P. I to premier the exposé. How Otumfuo Is Related To The Rawlings’
There have been a couple of occasions where the late former President, Jerry John Rawlings interacted publicly with the Asantehene and some others where the Asantehene paid a courtesy call on the former President. As a matter of fact, it is public knowledge how the intervention of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II played a significant role in the resolution of a long-standing feud between the late former President; Rawlings and former President, John Agyekum-Kufuor. And upon his demise, the family of the late Rawlings, paid a visit to the palace of the Asantehene at Manhyia, to formally inform him. According to the wife of the late president, she hails from the Ashanti Region and is a member of the Royal Family. In fact, she is a cousin to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, which makes the late president a cousin-in-law to the Asantehene.

Reduce Your 'Long' Convoys - Catholic Bishops To Akufo-Addo Gov't
Ghana Catholic Bishops' Conference (GCBC) has called for a reduction in the number of vehicles used as convoys for presidential and ministerial purposes. The Conference also requested a downsizing of the Akufo-Addo-led government, as well as, leaders of State-Owned Enterprises. The Catholic Bishops' Conference also charged President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to show commitment in the fight against corruption. The Conference asked President Akufo-Addo to ensure that all misappropriated funds cited in the Auditor-General's report were retrieved through appropriate means. Meanwhile, Most Reverend Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi has been elected as the new President of the Conference.
