Professor Gyampo has expressed disquiet about the intention by the government, raising questions about the timing of the move. Professor Gyampo disclosed on Neat FM that at a time when the country is reeling from harsh economic conditions, purchasing a new presidential plane should not rank among the priorities of the government. Gyampo said the move is an indication of the government not being in touch with the situation on the ground. I was shocked to hear the young man because it creates a certain lack of touch with reality and what is happening on the ground. If you knew what is happening on the ground, you wouldn’t make this announcement at a point when people are facing economic difficulties.

Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abdulai Jinapor recently revealed plans by government to roll out a new property rates policy. “You value the property based on the structure and not the value of the land.

According to him, the callous and inhuman decision of the President has affected several people within the catchment area that the health facility used to serve. In a post on his Facebook timeline, Stan Dogbe wrote, “So, people, is it not sheer wickedness to humanity on the part of President Nana Akufo-Addo that he will demolish completely the La General Hospital (formerly La Polyclinic) and many years after not even a block has been laid there? "I remember how the embattled Health Minister Kwaku Agyemang Manu lied during his vetting that work has started on the construction of a new infrastructure at the site where the La General Hospital once stood. That is just a reflection of how Nana Akufo-Addo and his appointees appear not to care about the people, and their welfare. “Access to, not just healthcare, but quality healthcare is one that must be assured and guaranteed all citizens.

He added that aside the improper means people used to acquire the passport, the booklet is the primary document which makes one eligible to travel across countries and not for identity. He affirmed that for a superior index of one’s identity, the Ghana card is far ahead of a passport. In an opinion piece, Mr. Anyidoho said ”The voices that are advocating for legal status for IPAC: instead of giving as a raison d’etre, are giving us nothing but a raison d’etat!! !”In a barrage of questions, he quizzed; ”As an Advisory Body, has anything stopped the IPAC from boldly sharing thoughts and helping the nation broaden its electoral landscape positively? "Political Parties must realise that the art of politicking and canvassing for votes, is, both an art and science. “How many of the political parties really get the base of their parties involved in hardcore decision-making? "Political Parties should first broaden the space for real and effective participatory democracy within their fold, before wanting to champion some death-trap course of forcing the EC to allow political parties to run elections in Ghana.”
