According to a Bloomberg report sighted by GhanaWeb, Ghana raised $750 million through syndicated loans with the participation of about eight African and European banks and $250 million from multilateral lenders. Standard Bank Group Ltd., Standard Chartered Plc and Rand Merchant Bank Ltd. led the arrangements, the report added. The rest will go to the Bank of Ghana to beef up its resources for swap deals. "Ghana’s debt ratio rose to 78% of GDP at the end of March, from 66.3% of GDP a year before.

The ‘Boho Bio’ show host stated on Hello FM that contrary to a narration by Tereo Marghuy that he was assaulted by his son, he rather attacked the Achimota School student with a knife. Sampson K Nyamekye who claims to have close ties with the wife of Tereo Marghuy, alleged that the man has constantly abused the wife in front of the children. Unhappy with the supposed abuse of their mother, Tyron Marghuy, according to Nyamekye stood up to the father when he once again tried to beat up the mother. He then came on social media to make those allegations to disgrace the children,” Nyamekye stated. It will be recalled that on June 7, 2022, Tereo Marghuy released a video in which he made some allegations against his son.

Togbe Afede XIV, the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, President of Asogli Traditional Area, has declared that, he could not have spent the 'inappropriate' over GH¢365,000 ex-gratia paid into his account after he had served on the Council of State between 2017 and 2020. The former President of the Council of State noted that he was surprised when he realised that his account has been credited with the huge ex-gratia. Speaking to Accra-based Joy News, Togbe Afede XIV, expressed shock over the criticisms he received when he decided to return the money he has received. Luxurious Jet Saga:For over a year now, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has made it a personal responsibility to constantly update the Ghanaian populace on the details of President Akufo-Addo’s foreign travels and more specifically, on his use of luxurious private jets. From the onset, with several oppositions to this decision, the government clarified that the project – a $300 million project, would not in any way be funded by the State, except for the land on which it would be built. This came to light after the MP for South Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, once again brought to light, an instruction from the Chief of Staff of Ghana, to the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta. The leadership of parliament had struggled to contain the outrage amid the trending social media hashtag #DropThatChamber and calls for a “2 million march,”. Paul Adom-Otchere’s unrestrained rant dubbed editorial on his show has seen him clash with a number of people with the latest being Togbe Afede, the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli state. From Asiedu Nketia to Manasseh, the Good Evening Ghana host has taken on a number of high-profiled people with late former President Jerry John Rawlings being a ‘victim’. Safe to say that Rawlings was not a fan of Adom-Otchere’s opinion-based journalism as he once chided him publicly for spewing nonsense. Addressing a durbar to climax the 38th anniversary of the 31st December Coup D'etat, Jerry John Rawlings chastised the host of Good Evening Ghana, Paul Adom-Otchere, saying that he always spews out nonsense on his television programme. “That small boy called Adom-Otchere or something wakes up every day to speak nonsense,” he said.

A viral video of the scene shows several soldiers lying on the road with some looking near lifeless. The officers were being helped by some community members and other members of the troop who survived unscathed. The transport track which the soldiers were travelling in is seen overturned and lying sideways with some parts mangled from the impact. Meanwhile, the Ghana Armed Forces in a statement has confirmed the accident in which some 16 officers sustained various injuries.

Photos of Adom-Otchere's wedding and Togbe Afede's BMW 7 series vehicle went viral on social media, with people saying that Paul Adom-Otchere is ungrateful to Togbe Afede. Reacting to the claims on his TV show, Paul Adom-Otchere admitted that Togbe Afede's BMW 7 series was part of the vehicles he had used for his wedding, but it was just for two hours. General Secretary of the Ghana Agricultural Workers' Union (GAWU), Edward Kareweh, has disclosed that some unapproved chemicals in the agricultural business are very rampant in the country. According to him, these chemicals are very harmful to human lives and other living things and can affect the crops around the area such chemicals are used on. Kareweh noted: "There are many chemicals that have not been approved and get they are within the system. There is also another chemical known as the 'condemn' which is sprayed on weeds to kill them and they also have effects on other living organisms. As to what will happen to the crop thereafter these chemicals have been sprayed and killed the weeds is a major concern to us.

Speaking to the media when members of the coalition including some Members of Parliament visited the Tema Motorway on Thursday, June 9, 2022, Mr Foh-Amoaning revealed that the group is currently dealing with a matter where the headmaster and some old students of a boys school in Kumasi have retorted to sodomosing students in the School. I give you one instance, in Kumasi, there is a secondary school where the headmaster together with the old boys association have teamed up and they are sodomising the boys. There are about 2,000 boys within that school," he noted." He mentioned that the situation is not akin to the Kumasi school alone as such cases are spread all over the country. “It is not only that particular school; schools from Nsawam, Wa, we have got invitations from all over the country,” he emphasized.
