Eiteljorg Museum appoints Ghana's Bright Afriyie as new CFO

Diaspora News of Thursday, 8 January 2026Source: www.ghanaweb.comA Ghanaian veteran higher education finance and global banker, Bright Afriyie, has been appointed the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art. Most recently, he served as the CFO at Simmons College of Kentucky, a historically Black liberal arts institution in Louisville. The appointment comes at a time when cultural institutions are increasingly looking toward data science to navigate the post-pandemic economy, according to indianapolisrecorder.com. Despite his high-level corporate and academic background, Afriyie maintains that financial leadership is fundamentally about the individuals an institution serves. Reed departed the Eiteljorg in October to join the leadership team of the United Way for Southeastern Michigan in Detroit.
