In the said video, the junior officer, who identified himself as a member of the Formed Police Unit (FPU), can be seen vehemently challenging the orders of the senior officer. He even rejected the senior officer’s command to mention his Police service number and told the police to meet him at the FBU because he was not the one who deployed him on the mission. You come to meet us trying to arrest a thief and you are giving us all these commands,” the FPU officer further stated in Twi. The Police Commander remained calm and reprimanded the Sergeant in charge for the behaviour of the junior officer.

The Minister for Roads and Highways, following the announcement by the minister, directed the seizure of toll collections effective November 18, 2021. The government explained that the decision was to help ease vehicular traffic at the various road toll collection points.

Responding to Mr Octhere-Darko, who is said to be powerful within the corridors of government, Musah Superior has described his statement as insensitive and highly condemnable. According to Musah Superior, the NPP, as a party seeking to retain power in 2024, must respect the concerns of ordinary party persons instead of passing commentaries against legitimate concerns. We must respect the views, concerns of the ordinary Party people and stop these needless commentaries,” he stated in a Facebook post. There have been growing calls on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to remove some individuals from his government over inefficiencies. The Minister for Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta is later today expected in parliament to deliver a review of the 2022 Fiscal Policy. The Speaker of the House, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin called the house to sit at exactly 10 am on Monday. However, as of the time of the commencement of business by the speaker, GhanaWeb cameras captured only 5 members in the chamber. It is not yet known what may have accounted for the low numbers however the numbers gradually increased to a few dozen before the speaker suspended sitting for 30 minutes. Koku Anyidoho, Chief Executive Officer of the Atta-Mills Institute, AMI, said at the 10th official commemoration of Atta-Mills’ passing disclosed what motivated him to champion the cause of renovating Asomdwee Park, the final resting place of his former boss. He said the former President shows himself to him (Anyidoho) at night begging him to do all it takes to give him a befitting resting place. “I, Samuel Koku Tsitsope Anyidoho, I continue to be burdened when Asomdwee park was becoming a scourge on the conscience, the eye and the spirit of the Republic of Ghana. “…and begs me and says that ‘Koku, if anybody and everybody turns their back, I beg you, please whatever it will take to give me a befitting resting place, please do it and God will bless you’,” he stressed. The 10th anniversary celebration was observed officially by the state at a commissioning of the Asomdwee Park.

Koku Anyidoho who was until the demise of the late head of state, was his aide, shed tears profusely while the choir was singing a hymn. The visibly pained Koku Anyidoho had to eventually be consoled by another person at the event. “To the glory of God, in 2020, His Excellency President Akufo-Addo Dankwa gave the go-ahead for full construction of the Asomdwee Park to commence,” he said. A monument of the late President was unveiled and the renovated park was commissioned by the president. Other persons including Former Ningo-Prampram Member of Parliament, Enoch Teye Mensah, Former NDC members, Allotey Jacobs, and Samuel Koku Anyidoho made an appearance at the event.

The AG’s Department, through then Deputy Attorney General, Dr Dominic Ayini, wrote to the Ministers of Health and Finance asking that they follow through with the contract “because it was legally binding”. According to Mr Agyeman-Manu, the AG stated that having reviewed the documents presented by Lawyers for Big Sea, he was satisfied that “all governmental approvals had been obtained” as this was a prerequisite for the execution of the contract. According to Mr Agyeman-Manu, the letter requesting the LC was written “without recourse to the Ministry of Health”. He said the inspection by the Ambulance Service revealed some defects which the Ministry brought to the attention of Big Sea. Big Sea, he said, wrote back acknowledging the defects and indicated their willingness to rectify the said defects.

Executive Director of the Peasant Farmers Association, Charles Nyaaba, claimed that Ghana's tomato industry has collapsed. He attributed the collapse to the lack of government attention towards the local production of this crop and the agricultural sector as a whole. "Our tomato industry in Ghana has collapsed because they don't pay attention to our local production. The figures we are seeing now are likely to continue," Charles Nyaaba added. According to the Peasant Farmers Association of Ghana, consumers should purchase food items like maize, rice, and millet, among others, in bulk and store them because food prices are going to escalate.
