AlUla, an exemplary model of Franco-Saudi cooperationPARIS: If there is an exemplary model of cooperation between two countries, it is the Franco-Saudi cooperation for the development and enhancement of the archaeological site of AlUla in northeastern Saudi Arabia. We are currently working with the royal commission on the next stage, which will be Beijing at the end of this year." Attorney Amit Hadad sought to portray Lapid and Milchan as close friends while attempting to dent the Yesh Atid leader’s credibility as a witness. Lapid worked briefly for Milchan about 30 years ago and has said they spent some time together but were not close. Parts of the hearing took on a political tone, with Hadad asking Lapid about his relationship with Netanyahu and whether it was defined by “abhorrence”. He also reiterated that he had told Milchan “no” on the tax break while taking a shot at Netanyahu: “Milchan spoke with me and he knows I don’t owe him anything because I never took gifts from him worth hundreds of thousands of shekels,” he said. As the court session ended, Lapid told the judges, “I don’t envy your position.”Netanyahu, who was indicted for fraud and breach of trust, was also hit with those charges in two other cases, along with bribery in one of them.

What is more worrying, however, is the rot and impunity that characterised the obviously questionable multi-billion Naira carrier project. He committed humongous public resources to the Nigeria Air project in the most unconscionable manner. This became more worrying when the aviation minister himself announced, two weeks after the unveiling, that the Nigeria Air project had been postponed indefinitely. “The Ministerial Committee on the Establishment of a National Carrier recommended the establishment of a National Carrier that is private sector-driven with minimum8 government involvement. At the House of Representatives where the lawmakers were investigating the controversial Nigeria Air “delivered by Sirika” 72 hours to his exit, the Managing Director of Nigeria Air, Captain Olumide, told the lawmakers that the Ethiopian plane was brought to Nigeria to show what the Nigeria Air plane would look like.

The Victorian Labor conference passed a motion on Sunday calling on the federal government to “move immediately to recognise Palestine”. The AJN understands two motions calling on the federal government to recognise Palestine were initially on the conference agenda before being pulled. From its support for terrorism, its rejection of negotiations and its promotion of vicious antisemitism, the Palestinian leadership actively undermines peace. By calling on the federal government to reward this behaviour with diplomatic recognition, the Victorian Labor resolution implicitly celebrates this,” ZFA President Jeremy Leibler said. Coming back to the topic of the day, here are four separate threats that could take Ethiopia into possible dissolution. Concentration of powerWe are reviewing a ‘pivot’ in recent Ethiopian political development. The argument that Ethiopia can be held together only by force is historically incorrect and politically irresponsible. It is happening now in Ethiopia (check out the recent news on the widespread and coordinated campaign to divert aid food from the destitute of Ethiopia.) The climate crisis is code red for humanity, but especially so for Ethiopia, where many Ethiopians (80-85%) depend on agriculture for their livelihoods.

The century-old Berhan Ena Selam Printing Enterprise attributed its price hike to the global market’s 100Pct increase in paper prices. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a shortage of paper stock, which is causing an adjustment in paper prices. A printing business specialty market mall is located adjacent to the square. The rise in paper prices has hampered her company’s operations, and she is now finding it difficult to maintain her operations and remain competitive. Despite that, this year, we don’t have much work because of the spiraling paper prices and related products.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken will spend the next two days in China for talks with senior officials. The visit is set against the backdrop of Russia’s war in Ukraine and tensions between the United States and China. The Secretary was set to make this trip in February but postponed it when a Chinese surveillance balloon was discovered over U.S. airspace. Blinken is the most senior U.S. official to visit China during President Joe Biden’s tenure in the White House and the first Secretary of State to go in five years. (TIMES OF ISRAEL) – Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday informed officials about the details of a potential nuclear deal between the US and Iran that Israel would be able to accept, according to reports in Hebrew media. “What’s on the agenda at the moment between Washington and Tehran is not a nuclear deal, it’s a mini-deal,” Netanyahu was reported to say. “This isn’t the deal we knew,” the Prime Minister reportedly said, referring to the 2015 nuclear deal staunchly opposed by Jerusalem, which Washington left in 2018. Iran insists that its nuclear program is for civilian use only and that it is not seeking nuclear weapons capabilities. Netanyahu on Tuesday sent a message to the US that Israel would not see itself bound by any agreement Washington might reach with Iran over its nuclear program.

According to the Ethiopian organization Human Rights First, Ethiopian Airlines had banned the sale of any tickets for flights in and out of Tigray to any over the age of 15 but under 60. The group's lawsuit also states that Ethiopian Airlines had systematically raised ticket prices to the maximum fare for any flights to and from Tigray and the Ethiopian capital. Hadgu said that "My friend and I had to pay 15,000 birr (about $270) each in bribe to board the Ethiopian Airlines flight." Since the filing of the lawsuit, however, the carrier has lowered ticket prices and removed restrictions. Human First Rights states its actions have been based on internal company memos along with three testimonies, one from a former Ethiopian Airlines employee.
