More than 150 New York Times contributors have signed a pledge not to write for the US newspaper's opinion section, citing its “biased coverage” of the Israel-Palestine conflict and war on Gaza. A spokesperson for the kibbutz where the article claimed the assaults took place later denied the allegations made by The New York Times. According to trichologist Anabel Kingsley and board-certified dermatologist Neera Nathan, M.D., there is a relationship between the washing hair and hair growth. Hair thinning (aka female/male pattern hair loss) and hair shedding (aka telogen effluvium) are incredibly common. As hair is non-essential tissue, your hair follicles are very sensitive to general health as your body gives hair last priority. Due to the length of telogen, telogen effluvium doesn’t occur right after the causative event – it happens anywhere from 2-4 months later. As pattern hair loss is progressive, early treatment is so important as this allows you to maintain as much hair density as possible.

About 150,000 homeowners would be hit by Labour’s proposed “mansion tax”, as experts warn rumours about budget tax rises are already hitting the housing market. The Treasury is reportedly considering taxing owners of higher-value properties in the November 26 budget as it aims to fill a multibillion-pound hole in the public finances. Among the proposals said to be under consideration is an annual 1 per cent tax on the portion of a property’s value above £2 million. On a £2.5 million property the tax would cost £5,000 a year. The chancellor is also considering ending an exemption from capital gains tax that homeowners enjoy when they sell their main residence.

Like the main attraction at his theme park, Rick Turner says it has been a "rollercoaster year" for the sector. "Costs have increased massively," the owner of The Big Sheep in north Devon said, reflecting on the state of the region's visitor attractions. Mr Turner, who is also the chairman of Devon's Top Attractions, said "there will be more closures" unless firms adapted to the reality of rising costs combined with challenging visitor numbers. It has been a bleak year for the region's visitor attractions after 75 people lost their jobs at The Eden Project in Cornwall as part of cost-cutting measures, while questions remain over the futures of Paignton and Newquay zoos, which are both up for sale buy their joint owner. Earlier this month, Axe Valley Wildlife Park announced it was closing after 17 years - blaming "difficult" times for businesses.

Sami Hamdi, a British political commentator who was on a speaking tour in the U.S., was detained by immigration enforcement officers on Sunday at San Francisco International Airport after his visa was revoked. A Muslim civil rights group said his arrest was retaliation for his criticism of Israel. Tricia McLaughlin, a spokeswoman for the Department of Homeland Security, announced on social media that Hamdi’s visa had been revoked, that he was being held by Immigration and Customs Enforcement until he could be removed. “Under President Trump, those who support terrorism and undermine American national security will not be allowed to work or visit this country,” McLaughlin wrote in her Sunday social media post. She said on social media that ICE acted in response to her “relentless pressure.” Loomer had smeared Hamdi with anti-Muslim conspiracy theories, the organization said.
