"A complaint is not a megaphone for public relations," the judge wrote. "Although lawyers receive a modicum of expressive latitude in pleading the claim of a client, the complaint in this action extends far beyond the outer bound of that latitude."

The Derry-Belfast rap trio had been due to play two dates in Toronto and two dates in Vancouver in October. Ó hAnnaidh denies the offence. We will be relentless in defending ourselves against baseless accusations to silence our opposition to a genocide being committed by Israel. Musically, fantastic, but in terms of what’s going on in the world it’s really important that they’re here, adding their voice.”

Why this matters for IndiansTech industry reactionsThe 'Gold Card' alternativeImmigration crackdown continuesIn a sweeping move that could reshape the US immigration landscape, President Donald Trump has signed a proclamation imposing a $100,000 fee on H-1B visas. The Republican President added that these funds will help reduce national debt and taxes. For India, the decision lands like a thunderclap. It may also force Indian companies to rethink their business models, potentially redirecting jobs back home or to cheaper overseas markets. As such, the US technology sector, a heavy user of H-1B visas, has been thrown into uncertainty. While Trump insists that “big tech loves the idea,” investors reacted nervously.Reuters reported that shares of IT services companies, including US-listed Indian firms, dropped between 2% and 5% following the announcement. Supporters, however, argue that it will prevent wage suppression and compel companies to invest in training American graduates instead.

US District Judge Steven Merryday ruled that Mr Trump’s lawsuit was overly long and was full of “tedious and burdensome” language that had no bearing on the legal case. “A complaint is not a megaphone for public relations or a podium for a passionate oration at a political rally,” Judge Merryday wrote in a four-page order. The lawsuit named a book and an article written by Times reporters Russ Buettner and Susanne Craig that focuses on Mr Trump’s finances and his pre-presidency starring role in television’s The Apprentice. The lawsuit also attacked claims the reporters made about Mr Trump’s early business dealings and his father, Fred. Mr Trump also cited an article by Peter Baker on October 20 2024 headlined “For Trump, a Lifetime of Scandals Heads Toward a Moment of Judgment”.

The location for my meeting with Lt-Gen Keith Kellogg, a decorated war hero turned skilled diplomat, felt more like a scene from a James Bond film than an interview room. Chosen by his security staff, the entrance was hidden beneath an unassuming city-centre bar, accessible only by a password. The general, calm and welcoming, yet unmistakably firm, spoke to me of Ukraine and its people with warmth and compassion. For Keith Kellogg is a man driven by principle. He also holds a uniquely powerful position, and he uses it to pursue peace while standing “on the side of good, fighting pure evil”.

A dramatic entranceMelania’s Striking Purple Hat Coordinating With Trump’s Tie Ignites Fierce Royal Fan SpeculationA gown for the spotlightMelania Trump’s second state visit to Britain alongside President Donald Trump became as much a showcase of her wardrobe as it was a diplomatic engagement. Choosing Burberry was a deliberate nod to British heritage, and it mirrored her choice of the same brand at the start of her last state visit, then in the form of a blouse. At St. George’s Hall for the white-tie state banquet, Melania traded her covered-up daytime looks for a bright, eye-catching gown by Carolina Herrera. The floor-length, off-the-shoulder dress came in a vivid shade of yellow, balanced by long sleeves and a lavender silk belt at the waist. The combination of exposed shoulders and bold color drew attention without overshadowing her hosts.

“I will also sign an executive order to immediately stop all government censorship and bring back free speech to America. So you can call that free speech or not. We will absolutely target you, go after you, if you are targeting anyone with hate speech, anything — and that’s across the aisle. It’s not free speech. We’re seeing people online who are posting hate speech.
