In a statement last evening, the hospital said it is experiencing a high number of patients with Norovirus, also known as winter vomiting bug, which appears to be circulating in the community. As a result it has implemented visiting restrictions in all wards of Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore to reduce spread of the virus in the healthcare setting.
