The Medical Council is set to host a major international conference on medical regulation, which is expected to be “self-financing”. The 16th International Conference on Medical Regulation will take place in Dublin in September 2025. A Medical Council spokesperson told the Medical Independent: “The conference is expected to be self-financing, funded by registration fees and sponsorship. The Medical Council is the only full member in Ireland, while CORU is a partner member. According to the Medical Council, IAMRA membership facilitates collaboration with international colleagues in medical regulation.
