First of all, in the world of Petro States, Venezuela is one of the most democratic countries. The real enemy we should consider invading instead of Venezuela are the tax havens. The key however to make the tax policy work is to make sure the super rich can’t sneak their money away to the tax havens. Much like a football team that plays good defense, we need to stop the money from flowing to the tax havens. Liberals rarely call for invasions, maybe we should be given a turn and develop “micro wars” directed at tax havens as part of the 2020 campaign and issues.
