Malaysian actor Sharnaaz Ahmad Bazir Ahmad has been fined RM1,200 for punching a Bangladeshi man, who is an employee of a golf club. A Magistrate’s Court fined the actor on Tuesday, reports The Star. Upon conviction, the actor could be jailed for a maximum of one year or be fined up to RM2,000 or both. On the other hand, Defence counsel Zulkifli Awang said: “He has apologised to the victim. The incident happened because of a misunderstanding.”The defence counsel also said the victim did not suffer serious injury.
