Three accused get life imprisonment in 2018 Bodh Gaya blasts case
A special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in Patna, India on Friday sentenced life term to three accused and imprisonment for 10 years to five others in connection with a serial bomb explosion case of 2018 at Bodhgaya in south Bihar. The blast took place on January 19, 2018, outside the Mahabodhi temple at Bodhgaya minutes after Buddhist monk the Dalai Lama ended his religious sermon at ‘Kal Chakra Maidan’. A number of foreign tourists, mostly monks, were present at the explosion site. While three accused --- Paigamber Sheikh, Noor Alam Momin and Ahmad Ali -- were awarded life imprisonment, Arif Hussain, Adil Sheikh, Mustafa Rahman, Dilawar Hussain and Abdul were given a 10-year jail term. However, another accused, Zahidul Islam, didn’t confess his involvement in the incident.

Log4j is patched, but the exploits are just getting started
Peter Membrey, chief architect of ExpressVPN, remembers vividly seeing the news of the Log4j vulnerability break online. So far, researchers have observed attackers using the Log4j vulnerability to install ransomware on honeypot servers — machines that are made deliberately vulnerable for the purpose of tracking new threats. One cybersecurity firm reported that nearly half of corporate networks it was monitoring had seen attempts to exploit the vulnerability. It’s a reflection of the fact that the Java programming language is used widely in enterprise software, and for Java software, the Log4j library is exceedingly common. Any one company could be using numerous programs containing the vulnerable library — in some cases, with multiple versions inside one application.

First group of Ramayan tourists arrive
The first group of Ramayan tourists, comprising about 150 people, arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) last morning (15). This group is considered the largest tour group in the new normal, and their aim is also to promote the Ramayana trail and other related sites among the public. Sri Lanka has more than 50 Ramayana sites, from the place of Seetha Devi’s captivity to the battlefields of war where Lord Rama slew Ravana the 10-headed demon-king. The Ramayana trail’s tour places include Munneswaram Kovil in Chilaw, Koneshwaram Kovil in Trincomalee, Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, Sita Kotuwa in Hasalaka, Sita Kovil, Ravana Falls, Bandarawela, Ella, Divurumpola Temple, and Kelaniya Temple. In the course of more than two millennia, many versions were written in regional Indian and foreign languages, and some of them became classics as in the case of Tulsidas’ Ramcharitamanas or Thailand’s Ramakien.

vivo S12 series and Watch 2's launch date revealed
vivo unveiled the S10 and S10 Pro in July and followed up with the S10e in October. Today the company announced it will further expand the S lineup by introducing the S12 series on December 22. The launch event will begin at 7:30PM local time in China, where we'll also witness the unveiling of the vivo Watch 2 - successor to the vivo Watch announced last September. Previously leaked pictures of the vivo S12 Pro revealed a curved screen and an in-display fingerprint reader.
