Russia has held sniper drills and reportedly sent two short-range ballistic missile systems to the Ukrainian border amid warnings that a war between the two nations is 'imminent'. Other footage shows the alleged transfer of two deadly mobile short-range ballistic missile systems 9K720 Iskander thousands of miles across Russia towards the conflict zone. The sniper drills involving 100 servicemen were held at Kadamovsky training ground, some 37 miles from the Ukraine border. Special forces of the Western military district, which borders Ukraine, conducted drills using Arbalet-2 and Malva guided parachute systems in the Tambov region. An exercise in moving military equipment from the east of Russia was announced last week.

High blood levels of uric acid lead urate crystals to form in the joints, causing intense pain and swelling. ‘Bloodletting is both effective and safe in treating gout and can especially ease acute severe pain and reduce CRP inflammatory levels in patients, with a lower risk of evoking adverse reactions,’ the researchers say.

NASA raises issue of dwindling astronaut numbers
Analysis conducted by NASA several years ago revealed that its astronaut corps would dip below the minimum manifest requirement in fiscal years 2022 and 2023, a situation that prompted NASA to select 10 new astronaut candidates at the end of 2021. The new recruits are now beginning a rigorous two-year training program. But the report said the current situation means NASA may not have enough additional astronauts available to make up for “unanticipated attrition and crew reassignments,” as well as ground roles such as leadership and liaison positions, and those serving as spokespeople for the agency. Realme Number series reaches 40 million sales

Boosters for under-18s from Monday
Booster jabs will be offered to under-18s from tomorrow as the Government prepares to drastically reduce Covid restrictions. Previously, boosters were only recommended for clinically vulnerable 16 and 17-year-olds who were most at risk from Covid-19. Booster jabs will be offered to around 40,000 'high risk' 16 and 17-year-olds from tomorrow under new plans. The EU's medicines watchdog last year approved the Pfizer-BioNTech shot for five to 11-year-olds, an age group experiencing high coronavirus infection rates across the continent. Germany, Spain, Greece and Hungary were among those opening up their inoculation drives to the age group, with doctors reporting strong initial demand from parents.

Texas parking payment problems now include scammy QR codes
As per a Fox News report, 29 parking pay stations in Austin have been found plastered with fraudulent QR codes. People attempting to pay for parking using those QR codes may have been directed to a fraudulent website and made a payment. The Massachusetts State Police has sent out a cautionary message as well, asking residents and visitors to avoid QR codes they come across in parking stations. As per ABC News, officials had spotted five locations where scammy QR codes were affixed. The kind of scammy payment pages these fraudulent QR codes open.
