Mr Hall also insisted that social media giants are not quick enough to remove online material, calling technology ‘a money making endeavour’. A Meta spokesperson said: ‘We don't allow terrorists or terrorist content on Facebook. ‘As a result, Between July and September 2021 we removed over 9.8million pieces of terrorist content from Facebook, up from 3.1million over the same period in 2018.

Oppo Find N gets bent and tortured with sand
We really enjoyed our time reviewing the Oppo Find N with its gapless folding screen design and more comfortable size. It takes a different approach to the folding display than Samsung with its “Flexion” hinge with water drop shape that lets the screen fold further into the hinge. Thanks to JerryRigEverything’s new durability test video, we now have an idea how the Oppo Find N withstands the YouTuber’s torture tests. After surviving the lighter tests with no major problems, the Find N did very well against the dust test. Oppo’s Find N is currently only available in China, but a global release may be on the table.

Geely to join smartphone business with Meizu acquisition
Geely, the Chinese automotive company that owns brands such as Lotus, Volvo, and Polestar, is now about to join the mobile phone market. Reports from a Chinese website 36Krypton revealed the conglomerate is planning to purchase Meizu - the smartphone company that has been around for nearly 20 years, but hasn't been doing so hot lately. The Chinese company has been eyeing the mobile business for some time and created a separate entity called Xingji Times dedicated to it. The source revealed Geely has already invested nearly CNY10 billion ($1.5 billion) in this new enterprise, not including the potential Meizu acquisition costs. Currently, the smartphone company is shipping just under 1 million units per year, which is nowhere near the peak of 20 million several years ago.

Realme 8 gets Realme UI 3.0 beta
The Realme 8 is the latest smartphone to join the Realme UI 3.0 Early Access program. You can experience the Android 12-based interface starting today, January 21, and all you need to do is apply through the Settings menu. All Realme 8 users who wish to participate should be aware this is still a beta release so you are likely to experience a bunch of bugs. If everything sounds great so far, the Beta can be found in Settings -> Software Update -> tap on the gear wheel in the upper right corner -> Trial Version -> Apply Now. Once all major issues are cleared, the beta will be open for everyone willing to participate, followed by a stable update sometime in the next two three months.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has been accused of weakening Europe by refusing to take a hard line on Russia despite warnings that Putin is about to invade Ukraine.
