Realme GT 2 is now on sale in India
The Realme GT2 is on sale in India starting today, joining its Pro sibling that has been on the shelves for the past month. The brand is selling the phone on its website with prices starting from INR34,999 ($460/€420) for the 8/128 GB variant. The Realme GT 2 is a more affordable alternative to the GT2 Pro flagship with a Snapdragon 888 chipset. However, it retains some meaningful features such as the 6.62” AMOLED with a 120 Hz refresh rate, and Android 12 with Realme UI 3.0 on top. Available colors are Paper White and Paper Green with a plastic back that resembles paper, but there is also plain Steel Black.

iQOO Neo6 SE's battery size confirmed
The iQOO Neo6 SE arriving on May 6 was said to pack a 4,700 mAh battery, and that rumor has turned out to be true since iQOO today announced that the Neo6 SE will have a 4,700 mAh battery under the hood, which will go from 1% to 100% in 30 minutes with its 80W adapter. However, it's worth noting that iQOO achieved those results when it charged the battery in a room with an ambient temperature of 26°C, and the charging time will likely vary depending on your room's ambient temperature. iQOO previously confirmed that the Neo6 SE will be powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC and have 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage onboard, and you can expect it to reveal more about the smartphone as we inch closer to the May 6 event. Guardsmen who drowned on Texas border had no float device
Bishop Evans, who was missing three days before search crews found his body Monday, was among the more than 6,100 guard members stationed on the border as part of Republican Gov. The mission has 43 flotation devices for guard members who are assigned to boat missions, Maj. Gen. Thomas Suelzer said. Suelzer said that since Evans' death, guard members have been instructed not to go in the water unless they have special training. Migrant rescues by Border Patrol are common along Texas' 1,200-mile (1,930-kilometer) border with Mexico. Abbott gave guard members unusual authority last year to detain and arrest migrants, but most on the mission are assigned to observation posts.

Nokia 8.3 5G getting stable Android 12
Although a bit late, Nokia's 8.3 5G handset is finally getting the latest Android 12 update. For the record, the Nokia 8.3 5G was released with Android 10 back in September 2020. However, not everyone is getting the update just yet. The initial report of the OTA update comes from Finland, but other markets will soon follow as long as there aren't any major issues. As it's usually the case, Android 12 brings new animations, improved privacy control in the form of a Privacy Dashboard and a re-designed UI.

Android 13 Beta 1 is now available for supported Pixels
Following two Developer Previews, released in February and March, respectively, today Google has made the first Android 13 beta build available for public testing. If you're interested in trying out the Android 13 Beta 1, and have a supported Google Pixel smartphone, then you can just head on over to the Android Beta Program website here and enroll your device. Then you should receive Android 13 Beta 1 as an over-the-air software update within a few minutes (up to a few hours). Android 13 Beta 1 comes with new permissions for more granular access to media files and improved audio routing APIs. When developers' apps will target Android 13, they will have to migrate to this new permissions model.

The Oppo Reno7 Lite 5G was introduced earlier this month with a Snapdragon 695 chipset. The name will be mostly seen in European markets, while in Asia it will be known as Oppo Reno7 Z 5G. The Reno7 Lite is an impressively light device with flat sides and a 6.43” screen that makes it refreshingly easy to handle. The Reno7 Lite 5G takes microSD cards slot in a hybrid slot - you must pick either a second SIM or the memory card.
