Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S 5G in for review
Yet another Redmi Note 11 smartphone that arrived with us for a review. Its full name is Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S 5G, but its hardware bears more resemblance to the Poco M4 Pro 5G (also sold as Redmi Note 11T 5G) than the 4G-only Redmi Note 11S. The Redmi Note 11S 5G comes with a different 13MP f/2.4 selfie shooter and an extra 2MP camera on the back and we’ll do our best to establish how much of a difference those two make. The body is identical to the Redmi Note 11T 5G and M4 Pro 5G, down to the last millimeter and gram, but the Poco's back has a far more intriguing design. 'Days or hours left': Russia tightens the noose in Mariupol
With global tensions running high, Russia reported the first successful test launch of a new type of intercontinental ballistic missile, the Sarmat. On the battlefield, Ukraine said Moscow continued to mount assaults across the east, probing for weak points in Ukrainian defensive lines. Russia said it launched hundreds of missile and air attacks on targets that included concentrations of troops and vehicles. In devastated Mariupol, Ukraine said the Russians dropped heavy bombs to flatten what was left of the sprawling Azvostal steel plant, believed to be the last pocket of resistance in the city. A few thousand Ukrainian troops, by the Russians’ estimate, remained in the plant and its labyrinth of tunnels and bunkers spread out across about 11 square kilometers (4 square miles).

Amid the fallout from last month’s Oscars slap, producers for the upcoming Tony Awards are warning potential copycats to refrain from following suit — or they’ll face severe consequences. “The Tony Awards has a strict no violence policy,” read the PSA. Since the incident, Smith has apologized to Rock and resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The 2022 Tony Awards will be held Sunday, June 12, at 8 p.m. at New York’s Radio City Music Hall.

vivo S15e specs fully detailed in new leak
vivo is planning to unveil its X80 high-end family of smartphones at a special event on April 25, but it looks like an additional device will tag along on that occasion, and that is the upcoming vivo S15e, the first member of the sure-to-grow S15 lineup. Some of the S15e's specs have already been teased and confirmed by vivo itself, such as the 4,700 mAh battery with 66W charging support, and the 50 MP selfie camera. Today however we have a leak that purports to reveal the phone's full spec list. So, the vivo S15e is said to come with a 6.4" 1080x2400 AMOLED touchscreen with a 90 Hz refresh rate, and a 16 MP selfie camera - conflicting with the aforementioned info above, mind you. The triple rear camera setup consists of a 50 MP main sensor, a 13 MP ultrawide, and a 2 MP macro cam.

Motorola Edge 30 5G European price leaks
The Motorola Edge+ (aka Edge 30 Pro) launched in the US last month and is available in Europe and India as well, but we’re still waiting for the vanilla model. The Motorola Edge 30 5G appeared with a €550 price tag on one European retailer. For comparison, the Edge 30 Pro is €800 on Motorola Germany, the Edge 20 from last year launched at €500. In total there are four new Edge models that are expected this year, including the Edge 30 Lite and the Edge 30 Ultra (you may have seen photos of this one and its 200 MP camera).

Motorola Moto G52's India launch date announced
The Motorola Moto G52 unveiled last week will debut in India on April 25. The smartphone will be sold in India through Flipkart and have two color options - Charcoal Grey and Porcelain White. However, the screen will have a FullHD+ resolution with a 90Hz refresh rate, and the smartphone's thickness and weight will remain the same. But, we could see faster charging in India since Motorola has previously launched smartphones in India that charge faster than the global models.

Russia launches fight for industrial heartland, Ukraine says
LVIV, Ukraine — After days of regrouping and reinforcing, the Russian military began a new and potentially climactic phase of the war in Ukraine by launching its long-feared, full-scale ground offensive to take control of the country's industrial heartland, the Donbas, Ukrainian officials said. “The Russian troops have begun the battle for the Donbas,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced in a video address. Haidai said that before advancing, Russian forces “just started leveling everything to the ground.” He said his forces retreated to regroup and keep fighting. It also would deprive Ukraine of a vital port, and complete a land bridge between Russia and the Crimean Peninsula, seized from Ukraine from 2014. Ukraine: shelling halts civilian evacuation
Officials said Russian forces continued to rain down artillery shells on civilians trying to flee the conflict, forcing them to shut down evacuation routes. KYIV, Ukraine — Ukraine’s government has halted humanitarian evacuations for the second day, saying Russian forces were targeting civilian evacuation corridors. The Luhansk government said four civilians trying to flee the region were shot to death by Russian forces. ___KYIV, Ukraine — Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi said six people were killed and another 11, including a child, were wounded by Russian strikes in the western Ukrainian city. ___MOSCOW — The Russian military says it has struck over 20 Ukrainian military targets with missiles.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 domination of our trending chart continues for the fourth week in a row, and it's more good news for Samsung as its Galaxy S22 Ultra flagship has overtaken the Redmi Note 11 for the second spot. We then see the Galaxy A73 climb to fourth, ahead of newly unveiled vivo X Note and the Poco F4 GT, which just entered the rumor mill. The Xiaomi 12 Pro gained a spot to place seventh, while the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max slid to eight position. The Samsung Galaxy A52s is on its way out of the market, but it still clings to our chart, placing ninth, ahead of the returning Galaxy A13. See you next week!

Among the teens praying fervently at Fort Bliss during last year's unprecedented arrivals of unaccompanied children was Elena, then 15. Elena told The AP that for weeks she asked God to let her out of the shelter as soon as possible. “When he arrived, you could feel like a peace, something that comforts you, something that you need,” Elena recalled during this Holy Week, which she’s observing with relatives far from El Paso. Rafael García, pastor of Sacred Heart Parish located four blocks from the border in downtown El Paso, celebrates Mass there, as he has at different shelters for five years. Moto G52 to launch in India this month, rumor says
Motorola unveiled the Moto G52 earlier this week for European markets, but it obviously won't stay confined to those for long. In fact, a new rumor today, originating with an "industry source", claims that the Moto G52 will get launched in India before the end of this month. Interestingly (or weirdly) enough, the Indian Moto G52 is said to have a pOLED display instead of an AMOLED - with this being interpreted in marketing speak as "more shock-proof than AMOLED". The Indian Moto G52's screen will also be a tad smaller than the European version's, at 6.5" compared to 6.6", but it keeps the same FHD+ resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. There's also a 16 MP camera on the front, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

vivo X Note Aerospace Edition comes with meteorite pendant
The brand new vivo X Note was announced earlier this week with a gigantic 7-inch AMOLED display and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and now vivo is bringing an exclusive Aerospace Edition of the phone. The major change here is the packaging of the phone which features a much more premium experience including a special pendulum housing a piece of Achondrite meteorite from the Moon. The rare space mineral is stored in a glass housing and is attached to a leather strap. vivo X Note Aerospace EditionThe actual phone features a blue colorway and 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The regular 12/256GB vivo X Note retails for CNY 6,499 ($1,020) but vivo hasn’t revealed the price premium for the Aerospace Edition variant.
