For today, scattered rain and storms are expected to begin firing closer to lunchtime across central Florida. A few thunderstorms could get strong producing heavy rain at times, gusty winds, and frequent lightning. Later this evening, showers and thunderstorms should come to an end leaving scattered clouds around. Sunday will be another hot and humid day with highs above average climbing into the middle 90s. Through the rest of the week will be a typical summer-like pattern with highs in the middle 90s but feeling hotter.
