HTC is launching a Viverse smartphone on June 28
It’s been a while since HTC released a phone and even longer since it had a flagship offering. That might just change as the company is now holding a launch event on June 28 where we’ll finally see a new HTC phone. Based on recent rumors, HTC’s upcoming smartphone will focus on VR and AR with deep integration to HTC’s own open-source metaverse platform dubbed Viveverse. Not much else is known about the upcoming HTC device except that it will feature integration with the Vive Flow VR headset and it could feature augmented reality app support. HTC has reportedly partnered with Taiwan Mobile, Chunghwa Telecom and FarEasTone to offer the new smartphone in their product portfolios.

Family grieving after 18-year-old pedestrian killed in hit-and-run
Police said 18-year-old Daniela Betancourt was using the crosswalk to catch the bus when a driver hit her but never stopped to help. Betancourt began using the crosswalk when the pedestrian lights were flashing. "Minutes and seconds count in life, so it hurts me that he left her there just like an animal," her aunt Rhonda Betancourt said. "She wanted to learn English and she did it," Rhonda Betancourt said. The family has set up a GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses and bring her back to Honduras.

Google releases Android 13 Beta 3
Today Google has outed the third beta build of Android 13 for supported Pixel phones. With Beta 3, Android 13 reaches Platform Stability, an important milestone for app developers, because it means that all app-facing behaviors in the OS as well as APIs are now final. This is when most app developers would want to start working on Android 13 compatibility for their apps, knowing that the platform won't change from now until the final release. It looks more like the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, though way thinner at 11.3mm (MacBook Pro 14 is 15.5mm). new chip, same hardwareAlthough the MacBook Air got some love this WWDC, the 13-inch MacBook Pro did too, kind of. The most significant announcement in my eyes is the updated MacBook Air with M2 chip – which, again, is a great-looking MacBook.
