The Pakistan national women’s football team is scheduled to depart for Nepal on to compete in the SAFF Women’s Championship 2024. The team has been participating in an intensive training camp in Islamabad, led by head coach Adeel Rizki. The camp will continue for the next few days to finalize preparations ahead of the tournament. Pakistan will begin its campaign against arch-rivals India on October 17, followed by a match against Bangladesh on October 20. Both matches will kick off at 4:45 pm Pakistan time.

Shahbaz Government terminates contracts with IPPs
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that in the first phase, they are terminating power purchase agreements with five independent power producers (IPPs) promising relief to the inflation-hit people. The federal cabinet under the chair of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has started terminating the IPPs agreement. Speaking at the Federal Cabinet meeting, Shahbaz Sharif said that by the grace of Allah, the country’s economy is rapidly moving towards stability. He said that five IPPs owners preferred national interest to personal interest, they voluntarily agreed to terminate these contracts, and these IPPs played a key role in the initiation of public relief. The whole cabinet including me is grateful to these IPPs owners.

IHC suspends senior civil judge Inaamullah over Monal stay order
Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Aamer Farooq on Wednesday suspended Senior Civil Judge Inaamullah for issuing a stay order against the demolition of Monal Restaurant in Islamabad.
