Cryptocurrencies use consensus mechanisms like proof-of-work (PoW) or proof-of-stake (PoS) to perpetuate transactions and maintain the integrity of the blockchain. To maintain a through line among different drinks, you need a deeply flavorful base. During the holidays, she often makes cranberry shrub by combining equal weights fresh cranberries, sugar and apple cider vinegar in a food processor. Since the shrub has plenty of acid, you don’t need to add fresh citrus to the drinks you make with it. Another workhorse base is oleo-saccharum, which is classically made by muddling citrus peels with sugar before setting the combination aside overnight. In this flavorful base, the sugar slowly extracts the oils from the peels and the sticky-sweet mixture adds dimension and texture to drinks.

Bar Bayonne in Seattle takes its inspiration from Basque Country, so it’s no surprise that there’s a Picon Punch on the menu. Picon Punch originated in the American West, most likely in San Francisco, in the final years of the 19th century. Picon Punch was adopted by these establishments as a house cocktail. In the Basque American communities of the Western U.S., Picon Punch is most often made with Torani Amer, a very inexpensive 80-proof version of the original Amer Picon. In the Picon Punch, Overman saw an opportunity to “put something on the menu that had at least some citrusy notes.”

So we wanted to always keep a certain number of foreign officers for cross-cultural fertilisation. “We set the target of Nigerian officers at 85 per cent, which we have attained and we are maintaining that. So if we need to have a full complement of Nigerian officers today, we can do that.

At a recent retreat for ministers, President Bola Tinubu hinted at assessing their performances and threatened to sack under-performing cabinet members. The level of achievement of ministers is dependent on the performance of the civil servants. They will give the ministers orientations and ideas of what to do and if ministers perform well it will rub off on the President’s achievements. Experts have identified bureaucracy and red-tapism as the bane of effective civil service, which may hinder performances of ministers. Again, Prof. Olaopa and President Tinubu must revisit the Stephen Oronsaye Report to reform the federal civil service for optimum performance.
