“Lyon were dying in front of us at 14-3, and we could not kill the game,” O’Gara fumed. His break, leaving three La Rochelle tacklers in his wake, and offload in the 27th minute gave Baptiste Couilloud all the space he needed for his 49th Top 14 try, to spark Lyon’s revival. La Rochelle lacked ‘everything’, according to the coach. “Aggressiveness, precision, serenity, ability to see space and execute, desire... It’s a black day for the club, for me,” he said. It’s a second consecutive loss at home for Stuart Lancaster’s side, and their third Top 14 defeat on the bounce.

Erik ten Hag believes Manchester United are heading ‘in a good direction’By Carl Markham, PAManchester United manager Erik ten Hag does not think a six-match unbeaten run means their season has turned a corner but he believes they are “back in the race” for the top four. But I think we are now in a good direction.”The priority has to be securing Champions League football again, as Ten Hag admits United are not at the level of Manchester City, Liverpool or Arsenal. However, he knows taking the next step and re-establishing them as title challengers will take longer due to the investment they have made in young players with potential. Ten Hag admits if they continue their current progress they could end up saving the club millions in the transfer window. Manchester United youngsters Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho have flourished this season.

One in five people refuse to tell anyone, including their partner, how much they earn, according to a survey by NatWest Premier, the bank's financial planning arm. Less than a third of parents share how much they earn with their children, it reports. But secretive couples should be open about their money to avoid later strain on the relationship, the bank warns. It's important that you work together – with your lifetime partner and banking partner – to plan finances.' Ms Newman says you should arrange a time to speak with your partner in advance so they don't feel blindsided.

Dan Cole got green light from wife to continue England career after World CupBy Duncan Bech, PA England Rugby CorrespondentDan Cole was given the green light to continue his England career by wife Isobel having decided he did not want to join the contingent of players retiring after the World Cup. I won’t be doing it forever, so enjoy it.”When asked if the current Six Nations would be his last campaign with England, Cole replied: “I haven’t made up my mind. “It’s one of those things where you never want to give up, but at the same time you can understand why boys with families do because international rugby is a tough environment to be in. “Tournament by tournament in international rugby, there are less scrums but they are of higher importance, which is why teams don’t want to give an inch there,” Cole said. You are playing international rugby and so you are not going to be playing against any mugs, everyone knows what they’re doing and everyone is good.”

“That’s what makes the show really interesting,” Evans said over tea during a break from rehearsals. “It was a real match that happened very soon after a terrorist attack by Protestant loyalists against Catholics in Northern Ireland,” he said. Directing Evans in multiple characters is not much different than working with a stage filled with humans. “If I miss a part and skip a big chunk, I can’t screw up another actor’s track.”‘A Night in November’By Marie Jones. The broader question is whether it is reasonable to expect banks to police the financial dealings of rogue nations. There is also a history of UK companies and individuals being caught up in grandstanding by politicians and officials in the US. The Governor of the Bank of England, Andrew Bailey, and Chancellor Jeremy Hunt are concerned about the low level of valuations the stock market is putting on UK banks. One reason the UK financial system is vulnerable to being infiltrated by pariah states, terrorists and criminals is the ease with which it is possible to set up a 'shell' company. In the meantime, experts say the banks need to dig much deeper to unearth what really lies behind shell companies.

Special holiday: But Royal Jordanian Airlines changed the flight times by two daysTony Hetherington replies: You gave me a copy of the message you received from Royal Jordanian Airlines (RJA), and it could hardly be clearer. I asked whether Royal Jordanian Airlines – which is mainly owned by Jordan's government – was in financial difficulties. Big airlines might tolerate this, but RJA is not a big airline and its losses put it in danger of liquidation. There are lots of reasons not to fly to the Middle East at the moment – and Royal Jordanian Airlines has just provided a new one.
