Erik ten Hag will not risk player fitness to help injury-hit Manchester UnitedBy Simon Peach, PA Chief Football WriterErik ten Hag says he would never gamble with a player’s fitness as injury-hit Manchester United limp into Sunday’s crunch clash with Arsenal. Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay could return to the fold when United host title-chasing Arsenal, although a swathe of players remain unavailable. Lisandro Martinez has urged Erik ten Hag to let him play against Arsenal. “Arsenal are one of the best teams, or probably the best team. You can discuss about this – is City the best team or is Arsenal at this moment the best team?

On Saturday evening, Bambie walked across the stage after the singer missed their final rehearsals. “Earlier today they confirmed to my delegation in front of others that Kan’s commentator had broken the rules of conduct during the Eurovision semi-final. “I have been patiently waiting to hear what action is set to be taken by the EBU following this rule break. They told the broadcaster: “I’m angry with other teams breaching their rules of the EBU, and still being allowed in. “So there’s definitely a war drum sounding in my heart to push the performance even more than I have done before.”

Photograph: Niall Carson/PA WireA prominent Jewish family has withdrawn a bursary for disadvantaged students at Trinity College Dublin in protest over the university becoming a “no-go zone for Jews” due to what it calls the university’s failure to protect student welfare. Dr Edwin Abrahamson, a UK-based consultant paediatrician, created the Maurice Abrahamson Bursary last year in memory of his father, a Trinity law graduate. In a statement, a spokeswoman for Trinity College Dublin said it was very grateful to Dr Abrahamson for the bursary, and regretted and respected his decision to withdraw it. Trinity College Dublin Students’ Union did not respond to an approach for comment.

So instead of (or before) committing to the $500 version, I thought trying these for a test run would be good. The sound quality to my non-expert ears is excellent too! And the noise-canceling is right for me — it blocked out annoying street noise so I could be fully immersed in my tunes." When there’s no music, they still cancel a lot, but not everything, like most headphones. I do wish they could get a little louder, but they still have great sound quality.

Celtic go six points clear with 2-1 win over 10-man RangersThomson ReutersCeltic moved close to a third straight Scottish Premiership title when they beat 10-man Rangers 2-1 in an eventful Old Firm derby on Saturday to establish a six-point lead at the top of the table. Matt O'Riley put the hosts ahead in the 35th minute with a left-foot shot from the edge of the area that beat the keeper at his near post before Rangers defender John Lundstram put a Daizen Maeda cross into his own net three minutes later to double Celtic's lead. Rangers reduced Celtic's advantage two minutes later when Cyriel Dessers headed in from close range, but things got worse for them before the break with Lundstram sent off for a studs-up challenge on Alistair Johnston. Jack Butland saved O'Riley's penalty in the 55th minute to keep second-placed Rangers in the game, but it was not enough to prevent Celtic moving to 87 points with two games left.

A Zevo flying insect trap because you know can make your kitchen feel brand new and friend-ready overnight? NO MORE ANNOYING BUGS. I've had one of these in my kitchen for years because — as you can see — fruit flies are the bane of my existence. Super non-gross to change out the sticky pad, and the little buggers are drawn in by the light rather than me having to worry about spraying pesticide in the same place where I make my food.

Luton on brink of drop as David Moyes enjoys winning London Stadium send-offBy Andy Sims, PADavid Moyes said farewell to the London Stadium while Luton were left almost certainly waving goodbye to the Premier League after a 3-1 defeat by West Ham. But second-half goals from James Ward-Prowse, Tomas Soucek and teenager George Earthy gave Moyes a winning send-off in his final home match in charge. After months of speculation, and following just four wins from 21 matches since the turn of the year, West Ham finally announced Moyes was leaving on Monday after four-and-a-half years in charge. However, in contrast to that Europa Conference League-winning outfit, the first half was 2024 West Ham in a nutshell – lethargic, sloppy, lacking ideas and defensively suspect. A West Ham goal was coming and Soucek pounced in the 65th minute after Lokonga had headed away Ward-Prowse’s cross.

‘Giving it half a twist too many’Athlone is a beautiful town – and with so many different leisure and entertainment activities on offer, there is always a buzz around the place. When I use this – one of my favourite sayings, I remember my late, great friend, Colm O’Farrell. It was he who taught me how to resist ‘giving the nut one last half turn’ when it was already tight enough. The studs were clearly tightened home, but I couldn’t resist giving the last one a ‘half turn too many’ – I ‘wrung the threads’ and the stump had to be drilled out of the hole. Sometimes we just can’t leave well enough alone and make the situation worse by giving it one more half turn.

No matter how well a team perform in a league game, the talk afterwards is always with a view to how they will fare come championship. I have to say, and it feels like I’m in the minority on this, but I’m a fan of the advanced mark. Because of the advanced mark, defenders now have to stay tighter to forwards as they run out from goal looking to receive a pass. Now they are more enticed to compete full-blooded for the ball to deny a mark. Either way, I believe the advanced mark leads to more goal opportunities.
