The two sides also signed a Security and Defence Partnership to facilitate better cooperation on crisis management and security challenges. Australia was pushing the EU to raise the amount of beef that can enter the bloc under preferential terms. Farmers “will now pay the price for this subpar EU deal for decades to come,” he said. “Australia is blessed with huge natural wealth and they have possession of almost all critical minerals we need,” Sefcovic said. The minerals deal would also reduce dependency on China, which she framed as both an economic and security concern, criticizing its recent “weaponization” of supply chains.

A move overseas brings the contemporary-styled 3 Annesgrove back to the detached home market near East Cork’s Carrigtwohill: having been a popular sale in 2017 to its departed family owners, when it reached €505,000 in bids well over its €425,000 initial AMV, might it once more sell for over its early 2026 guide? It’s essentially the same home as was offered in 2017 but is now unfurnished. That means the viewers will have to imagine their own stamp and furniture on this well-finished c 2005-built dormer with some distinctive roofing and glazing touches. Within its first week on the market, No 3 got requests for 20 viewings (more are expected) and ends this week under offer at, if not above the €620k asking price. Externally, No 3 has two Liscannor-flagged patio/barbecue areas and has a detached garage with glazing and power and water supply, with an EV charge point for the family car.

Photo: ReutersMany have felt US president Donald Trump perceives the global economy as his personal yo-yo. Of late, they were beginning to wonder whether he also believes he holds the whole world on a string. In the day-to-day world, energy shortages and higher electricity prices are causing havoc throughout Europe. Not long after February 28 – when the war started – Trump said the US operation was “very complete, pretty much”. It will not be forgotten how without any consultation, Trump first unleashed a tariff war, and then started an international shooting war.

Should Arsenal win the Premier League or the Champions League, some insist a Footballer of the Year should come from their ranks. Which, for those who watched him flounder against Rodri and Bernardo Silva at Wembley on Sunday, might jar a little. In the unlikely event City overhaul Arsenal in the Premier League - and even complete a more unlikely treble - Silva might get some votes for individual honours. If you actually do like your stats, four of the top seven distances covered by a player in a Premier League match have come from 31-year-old Silva. Former US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has submitted plans for horse stables to stay 'long term' at her flood-hit £22million Cotswolds home. The planning application described the pair as 'horse owners' who require stabling for their horses. 'Hence, the "in-between" option is proposed, a traditional stone building, single range, built in the local vernacular, so as to blend in to the existing building group.' 'Overall, when comparing the existing shed against the proposed stable building, it is likely the traditionally designed stone building would sit better in the landscape, and appear to belong more coherently to the adjacent building group.'
