Dublin food hamper charity confirms Taylor Swift donationOlivia KelleherThe charity Crosscare, which provides food hampers to people who are struggling to feed their families, has confirmed that singer-songwriter Taylor Swift donated to their services following her three sold-out concerts in Dublin last month. The donations not only help the food banks buy more groceries, but the publicity surrounding the gifts draws awareness to the plight of food insecurity. “We work with hundreds of families with children who struggle to provide good food every week. "Taylor’s donation will enhance our ability to assist even more families in need in the coming months.”Crosscare says that their approach to providing food assistance is unique. Café staff work with those who come to them in need of support and ensure they get the help they need.

Towards the end of 2022, the NTA said they hoped to have started the planning process by mid-2023 for three park and ride facilities. [ Shadow banking could trigger next financial crisis, ECB warnsOpens in new window ]It was a wake-up call. Shadow banking is a crash – or series of accidents – waiting to happen. It would be only prudent to assume that shadow banking, along with its unknown and potentially catastrophic risks, is part and parcel of these structures. About half of their money comes from overseas institutions and the extent of their exposure to shadow banking is simply unknown, but the risk is clear. The notion that Ireland is in some way immune from the consequences of something going badly wrong in the shadow banking sector is a foolhardy one.
