Dr Cassiel Ato Forson who is a Ranking Member of the Finance Committee of Parliament during a presentation accused government of borrowing excessively and being responsible for 60 percent of the country’s debt stock. “Out of Ghana’s Public debt of GH¢291 billion as of December 2020, President Akufo-Addo’s government accounts for GH¢171.22 billion representing 60 percent,” Ato Forson said. He continued, “the hardships arising out of the deficit and debt situation is the direct result of mismanagement of the economy and misplaced populism by this government.”But the deputy Finance Minister in a response described the assertions as false and misguided. “If you check the reality of what happened under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s tenure, I am sure if it had happened under former President John Mahama, we would have jumped to US$100 billion. There was no COVID-19 to warrant a lockdown for extra expenditures of the government,” John Kumah pointed.

The above mentioned were a few of the infractions that the Compliance Taskforce of the Drivers and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) in collaboration with the Motor Transport and Traffic Department (MTTD) looked out for when they carried out checks at Awudome in Accra. The compliance checks which have become a biweekly exercise by the DVLA and the MTTD of the Ghana Police is to help curtail the incidence of road accidents by tackling the common causes. The exercise which was carried out on Thursday, July 22, resulted in 22 drivers getting tickets for various offences. Speaking at the 2021 Performance Contract Signing Ceremony on Monday, July 26, Mr Asamoah Boateng, said that an appraisal measure for the performance of CEOs will ensure they comply with the rules of engagement, especially corporate governance. And we believe this will push them to work efficiently,” he hinted. He added the Performance Contract will also ensure that state enterprise will be made to be profit oriented and competitive to deliver quality services. Already, some 71 out of 123 state enterprises have signed respective performance contracts which will see to their assessment and evaluation of work and delivery of their mandate. The latest forecast remains broadly unchanged with inflation projected to remain within band and around the central path in the forecast horizon barring any upside risks from fiscal pressures. On the whole, the Committee assessed that the risks to inflation and growth were broadly balanced and decided to keep the policy rate at 13.5 percent,” the central banks statement read.

But while on Twitter, it has come to light that he went against platform policy for a post that stressed that LGBTQ+ was not a human right. It is also not known whether Sam George has been handed a Twitter suspension of any kind - which is usually the case. In the case of Sam George Twitter applied Tweet removal which guidelines read:"Requiring Tweet removal: When we determine that a Tweet violated the Twitter Rules, we require the violator to remove it before they can Tweet again.
