Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of Ghana, has urged eligible Ghanaians, especially those who have just turned 18 and adults who have not yet registered, to participate in the Limited Voter Registration operation. According to Dr. Bawumia, the fundamental right to vote starts with the responsibility of registering with the Electoral Commission (EC). In a Facebook, the second gentleman of the land underscored the significance of civic engagement and the role of voter registration in enabling citizens to exercise their democratic right to vote. To register, they will need either their Ghana Card or Ghana Passport as identification. Two persons can guarantee for persons who do not have the identification documents but are eligible to register and vote.

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has announced three policies for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) grassroots in the event that he is elected flagbearer and emerges as president after the 2024 polls. Bawumia said he was coming up with the policies, which he believed if effectively utilised, the party and the government would be well integrated, a GNA report added. Bawumia is in pole position to emerge as flagbearer of the NPP having won the preliminary round of election held on August 26. One of his most significant contributions was the founding of Valley View University in Oyibi, Accra. He served as an adjunct lecturer at Valley View University and various other universities across the globe. His legacy lives on through the J.J Nortey Education Trust Funds, which have supported countless individuals in pursuing tertiary and Christian education in Ghana and abroad. He will be buried on September 15 at Valley View University Church, Oyibi.

From freedom fighters to statesmen, Achimota School has been a vessel for minds destined to shape the destinies of nations. His educational journey began at the Government Training College, soon to be known as Achimota School, where he graduated in 1930. In 1929, he embarked on his journey at Achimota College, earning a scholarship to St Peter's College, Oxford. Subsequently, he pursued his secondary education at the prestigious Achimota School, where he completed the Ordinary and Advanced-Level Certificates in 1961 and 1963, respectively. Interestingly, the former Zimbabwean leader also attended Achimota School during his educational journey.

"I take the comment from Solomon Owusu as one of his usual hate propaganda against the Vice President because of the internal flagbearer elections since his preference is not the Vice President. "The Vice President does not have or communicated any such policy to deal with galamsay either by himself or through someone else,” he wrote in a Twitter post. Former Sports Minister Elvis Afriyie Ankrah has raised concerns about what he alleges is an attempt by the Electoral Commission (EC) to suppress votes in the upcoming 2024 elections. Elvis Ankrah's claims stem from the EC's insistence on using only 266 district offices for the Limited Voter Registration process. In an interview with Nimatu Yakubu Atouyese, he said; "We have a situation where there has not been any limited registration since 2020, creating a three-year backlog.
