He further noted that Hajia Amina’s transportation support was actually the lowest amount offered among all contestants, describing it as an "appreciation" for the delegates' time rather than an enticement. Despite entering the race as a projected frontrunner in several polls, Hajia Amina Adam ultimately secured 399 votes (41%), falling 32 votes short of the recalled High Commissioner, Baba Jamal, who finished as a winner with 431 votes.
