In a recent Facebook post, Tonto highlighted a significant drop in the income of a typical farmer, citing a sharp decrease in the price per bag of farm produce. The farmer who used to earn GH¢310,000 under the Akufo-Addo administration is now receiving just GH¢258,700, an alarming loss of GH¢51,300. Kofi Tonto compared the two administrations’ financial handling of agriculture, specifically how the pricing of agricultural products has impacted farmers’ bottom lines. Under President Akufo-Addo, cocoa farmers who produced 100 bags of goods were paid GH¢3100 per bag, totaling GH¢310,000 for 100 bags. Tonto voiced his concerns about the loss of income for farmers and the long-term effects on the agricultural sector, which is a critical part of the economy.

Sports News of Saturday, 14 February 2026Source: www.ghanaweb.comSome Barcelona players have reportedly raised concerns about head coach Hansi Flick’s tactical approach in big games, particularly his reliance on the ‘high-line’ system and the exclusion of certain key players. After the game, the German coach criticised his players for their lackluster performances, which he said contributed to the poor result. It was suggested that the players urged Flick to adopt a more “pragmatic approach in key games,” expressing concern over the high defensive line. They argued that tactics should be adjusted based on the strength of the opposition and the availability of key players, as absences could negatively affect performances. Barcelona were without Raphinha and Pedri during the heavy defeat, with many believing their absence dealt a significant blow to the team’s ability to execute Flick’s system effectively.

During a visit to Defli Ventures, GhanaWeb’s Gifty Merley Tetteh was taken through the art of chocolate making by Afadi Nii Kwei Tetteh, Production Manager at the company. He explained that tempering is one of the most important steps in chocolate production. According to Nii Kwei Tetteh, melting chocolate without tempering it will not produce the smooth, appealing finish consumers expect. The purpose of tempering is to pre-crystallise the cocoa butter in the chocolate, ensuring it forms a stable crystalline structure. If the temperature drops too low and the cocoa liquor becomes too solid, the chocolate must be melted and the tempering process repeated.
