In the video sighted by GhanaWeb, the driver of a Mercedes Benz Sprinter bus with registration number GT 6387 – 21 is seen standing in front of the driver’s door, and urinating in the middle of the road in traffic. This development however comes a few days after another commercial bus driver was arrested for the same offence. In the first incident, the driver of a bus with registration number GN 3073 – 14 was captured on video openly urinating on a highway. He was later arrested and taken to the Tesano branch of the Motor Traffic and Transport Division (MTTD).

According to Professor Charles Marfo, Bernard Antwi Bosiako has failed as a leader for making such a statement. I keep saying this, if you’re a leader and think you’re irreplaceable, you’ve failed. I think he’s only a populist, displaying gold bars and all that on live radio which didn’t help anyone. I’d vote against him for saying he’s irreplaceable if I were a delegate. Professor Charles Marfo said he expected the chairman to contest at the national level and not in the region.

They cite that whilst the time on the recordings indicated 2013, the alleged offence occurred between 2018 and 2019. According to the counsel for the accused persons, some of the contents in the recording were irrelevant to the matter insisting that no permission was sought from his client before the recordings were conducted. In associating himself with the submissions of lawyer Adawudu, Counsel for Johannes Zipki, lawyer Anthony Lartey, also questioned the authenticity of the recordings saying it had been tampered with and manipulated through editing or alteration. He notes that the prosecution was duty-bound to produce the original, unmanipulated, unedited recordings whereas the Court was also entitled to examine the original recordings to guarantee its admissibility. “With the authenticity, she said the chain of custody had not been broken which made the recordings original, witnesses identified them as well as Staff Sergeant Awarf having knowledge of the contents,” the GNA reported.
