Expired Rice: Rumour-Mongering Has No Place In Education - Chief Of Staff

Frema Osei Opare, the Chief of Staff, has expressed dissatisfaction with the comments made surrounding the alleged distribution of expired rice that has been repackaged to specific Senior High Schools (SHSs). Her remarks address claims made by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, a member of parliament from North Tongu that these schools received almost 22,000 bags of repackaged and expired rice. Propaganda and rumour-mongering have no place in education," according to a report citinewsroom.com. In contrast to Ablakwa's persistent claims, Mr. Kwarteng stressed that the rice had not gone bad. He explained that Lamens was penalized by the FDA for failing to obtain FDA approval before repackaging the rice.
